"Come here, you little munchkin!" The man said playfully as he ran after the little girl.

"No, Daddy, go away!" She yelled as they ran around the oak that sat in their yard.

The older girl that sat on the outer deck rolled her eyes at the two running around like chickens with their heads cut off. "Can't you guys grow up?"

A woman came out of the house with a bowl of freshly cut watermelon and looked at the older girl. "Do not ruin their fun, Allison. You were that young once, remember? You have to think from their perspective." She turned to her husband and daughter, who had been caught by her father and was struggling to escape his grasp. He slowly placed her on the ground before walking onto the deck and kissing his wife on the cheek. "It looks great babe..." He whispers into her ear.

"Thank you Mama!" The little girl mumbled.

Allison rolled her eyes. "Don't talk with your mouth full." She scolded.

"Please." Her mother corrected.

Allison rolled her eyes once more before looking at her little sister. "Please?"

"Let's go for a drive." The father whispered into the mothers ear.

"I have to stay and watch the kids, sorry babe." She whispered sadly.

"Come on, I'm sure Ally will watch her. It's just one drive, I promise."

She looked from her lover to her children then back again. "I'll tell them." She walked towards her oldest, whispered in her ear, and stood back to look at her youngest. "Jenny, babe, me and daddy are going for a drive. Well be back in a little while, I promise."

The little girl nodded before grabbing another piece of watermelon and taking a huge bite.

Her father and mother kissed their foreheads before walking into the house.

Little did both of the girls know that that was the last kiss either of them would ever get from their parents...
