Chapter 10

Shawn POV
Ugh
Why can't I just focus on school and not just some stupid girl. I'm already failing Spanish and I have a midterm tomorrow. And this bastard Noah trying to steal my girl and she's not even my girl which frankly pisses me off.
The bell rings cutting me out of my day dream. But I'm taking Ashly home so I dash out of class and down the hall.
I see Ashly standing by her locker talking to Abby looking stunning as usual.
Someone taps my shoulder so I turn around to see Haliey
"What do you want?" I ask her
"I wanted to know if you wanted to come over tonight?" She asks winking at me
"No not tonight I have to study" I reply rolling my eyes and walking away
I feel a tap on my shoulder again and say "I'm not interested Haliey"
"Sounds interesting but I'm not Haliey" Noah says
I turn around facing him up "what do you want?" I ask
"I want you to stop hanging with Ash" Noah says
"And why would I do that?"
"Because I could tell Ash what you've done and then she'll never forgive you."
"So your going to blackmail me eh?"
"If I have to"
" Well she babysits my sister so I dont know what your going to do about that?"
"Oh well" Noah shrugs and walks off
I walk up to Ash and Abby talking and put my hands on her waist.
"You ready?" I whisper in her ear
"What are you doing?" She asks
"Leaving are you coming with me?"
"Yeah" she groans "I'll FaceTime you tonight ok Abs."
"Ok talk I'll talk to you tonight."
"Let's go, last one to the car is a rotten egg!" I shout as I sprint down the hall
"Hey no fair you got a head start!" She yells laughing
I'm halfway down the hall when Ashly jumps on my back taking us both to the ground. We burst out in laughter laying on top of each other.
"Get off your heavy." I laugh
"Shut up asshole." She says slapping my chest
"Whatever dumbass." I smirk
"Let's go we have to pick up Aaliyah." She says trying to pull me up
I stand up and see Noah shanking his head at me as I walk with Ashly.
She tries to put her arms around my waist but I push her away. She looks up at me kind of sadly but I walk off out of the building. We hop and the car and she won't even look at me. Why can't Noah just be off my ass? He strives to ruin all my real relationships. And I get why he could hat me but it's been 3 years.
Ash hops out of the Jeep before I even stop the car.
"Ashly I-"
She turns around, glares at me than keeps walking inside.
•• ASHLY POV••
"Hey Aaliyah how was school?"
"It was rlly good I aced my Math test." She says excitedly
"Wow that's really good." I reply
We walk back to Shawn's Jeep and he was talking on his cell. He looks up with sympathetic eyes. Aaliyah hops in the back while I climb in shotgun.
"Let's go." I tell shawn looking out my window
He tries to put his hand in my thigh but I brush his hand off. I look over at him from the corner of my eye to see Shawn's fists clenched around the wheel his knuckles turning white.
We arrive at Shawn's house after 10 tension filled minutes later. We hop out and Aaliyah and I go into the living room and Shawn went to his room slamming the door behind him.
"What's up with him?" Aaliyah asks
"I don't know he's been acting weird today." I reply
"I'm going to grab some cookies wanna put on a movie?" I ask
"Sure"
I go into the kitchen and grab the Oreos and Chips Ahoy form the cabinet.
" Aaliyah I'm going to bring some to Shawn you can play the movie."
"Ok"
I quietly make my up stairs to Shawn's room. I slowly open his door and quietly walk in. I see him passed out on his bed. His mouth slightly parted and his curls all over the plAce. My lips form a small smile to see him at such peace. I gently sit down on the edge of his bed and put the cookie son his nightstand. I run my fingers through his fluffy hair. His eyes flutter open and he looks up at me.
"Hey... I brought some cookies." I says softly
"Whatever." He grumbles rolling over
I stand up and say "ok what's up with you?" He continues to ignore me so I keep talking "you've been acting so strange. One minute your super sweet and fun and then out of nowhere you turn into jackass. What is with You!!!"
He stands up closing the space between us. I gulp and all my confidence disappears. His 6'2 frame towers over me
"You wanna know what's with me." He says coldly
"You. Your driving me crazy. Can you please just leave me alone!" He shouts
I just stand there shocked my eyes blurred with tears and my mouth hanging open.
"Just leave." Shawn says glaring at me
"Oh ok." I whisper and walk out hanging my head and shutting the door.
I pad into the bathroom and lock the door. I sink to the floor my back against the door. I hug my knees to my chest and tears start rolling down my cheeks. He's just a stupid boy. He's just a stupid boy. Don't let him get to you.
Soft sobs come out of my mouth.
"Ash?" I hear Shawn say from the other side of the door.
"What?" I sniffle
"I-I didn't mean what I said." He says "please just open the door."
"Ok" I say quietly
I stand up and unlock the door and open it to Shawn sitting on the floor. He jumps up and tucks my hair behind my ear.
"I'm sorry I'm just stressed because I'm failing Spanish and I have a big test tomorrow and if I don't do good I'll get cut from the hockey team."
"Why didn't you just tell me?" I ask
"I don't know I just didn't want you to think I was dumb." He says
"I don't but I can help you study." I say
"No I don't want to." Shawn complains
"Yes we are going to study." I tell him wiping me eyes and pulling him into his room.
