Chapter One

[Name] flipped to the next page of the papyrus paper, and continued reading her favorite book.

"And, when you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it."

She reread the sentence over and over again, but to no surprise: nothing changed. She then began to think to herself, Is this true? Because that has never happened to me before.. maybe I just haven't found something worth wanting yet.

She quickly brushed the philosophical thought out of her mind, and began worrying about other things. Such as the new job she'd be starting tomorrow, as an assistant for Mr. Shisui Uchiha. Boy, was she nervous. Mostly due to the fact that The Uchiha's were one of the most wealthiest families in her town, which she found pretty intimidating.

And the other fact was that, Mr. Shisui Uchiha was absolutely gorgeous.. which she also found quite intimidating. Maybe if she truly wanted him, the universe would conspire in her favor? That's silly, she thought. There's no way an Uchiha would fall for me.

"Sasuke!" the enthusiastic Uchiha exclaimed. "Get up, you're late for the international meeting today."
"Get out, Shisui," the sleepy male grunted in annoyance. "I told you not to come in my room."
"The meeting is important for the next step for our company," Shisui tried to reason before being whacked in the face by Sasuke's custom-made, white pillow.
"I don't care," Sasuke stated, rudely. "Now get out."
"Alright, fine," Shisui said, giving up on the hopeless case of getting his cousin out of bed. "I'll send my assistant later with the key details from the meeting today."
"Whatever just shut the door on your way out," Sasuke muttered before slowly falling back into deep sleep.

"You be nice to her," Shisui commanded on his way out. "She's new."

Her? Sasuke thought as he heard the door shut behind Shisui. She's already annoying to me.
