The Beginning Of A New Life

If only she thought of it sooner not to go in the house, when she knew that he was going to be in there. From outside of the house it looked pretty normal and the gardens were well established. That changed in a blink of an eye as soon as she walked in. The wallpaper was ripped and the furniture was covered in a layer of dust and mould, the paintings were all warped and the chandelier had broken one of its wires and was just hanging there, the slightest breeze could rip it from its rusted wire. As I kept walking through the dark and gloomy corridor, when I saw a shadow around the corner. I paused for a second, and then kept walking. As I turned the corner I saw him. 'How could he be here? Why was he here?' I hadn't seen him in years. We stood there, for about 1 minute just staring at each other, no words, just staring. The memories flashed back of us. He was the last person I wanted to see. He put his arms around me and in that moment, I realise, he was the only one who was there for me when no one was. He helped me through the terror and the horror of my life. I held the embrace for a few minutes and then he let go. We hadn't said a WORD. We kept walking down the hallway and we came along an old mahogany door and we walked through the cracked frame. Through to the next room, I thought to myself 'why we going in there and what are he going to do?' We kept walking and half way through the room he stopped and grabbed my arm. He said in a deep voice "I'm sorry what happen between us these past few months..." I paused for a moment before I replied "it's ok Ash...." He walked up to me and looked me in the eyes I tried not to blush but I couldn't help it. He let out a cheeky grin and then stared to say "Moon I know that you said it was ok but I know it really isn't ok so don't lie please..." I didn't know what to say but I didn't want to tell him the real reason "Ash may I ask why it is so dark in here..." I saw him looking down with a worried face "I-I..." Ash looked up for a sec then back down "wish I could tell you but I might scare you..." Ash seemed really sad as he said that but who knows he may just be joking I want him to tell me but I didn't want him upset "Ash if you don't want to tell me then doesn't but I would like to know..." I said walking up to him "I-I-I'm a vamp-"then he just stopped dead in his tracks I looked at him with a worried face "what is it Ash...?" I said as I was still looking at him "I'm a vampire that's why it's so dark in here please don't be scared I'm not going to hurt you..." not knowing what to do or say I just stood there looking at him thinking 'vampire? But I thought they weren't real' "how? since when but they aren't real?" knowing him he got himself into something not thinking it threw before he said yes but that's just him "I went back to my home town to see family, that's when I fold out and that's why I left so long ago I'm sorry if I am scaring you please don't go...." still thinking that vampires aren't real wasn't helping me here " but I don't get it vampires are not real" I was confused but I seemed fine with it all Ash as a vampire seemed so hot in my head but no I couldn't not him not again.... "Moon if you knew my families past then you would understand but you only know me please don't get to fair in this right now..." I nodded then started to get up knowing now that Ash is vampire would it be even more different between us? Well let's hope not..
