Today was the day you moved to Elmore. You moved into a house that was a tad larger than your old one. Currently, you were resting on your bed after finally finishing unpacking. Your bed's blanket was your favourite colour, you had a few of your favourite plushes on your wooden headboard.
You were stressed about life. Today was a terrible day to move in, it was Sunday, there was school tomorrow. Ugh...
Just as you sighed to yourself, your mom opened the door.
"Hey hon, what's wrong? Don't like your new room?" She asked as she sat beside you on your bed.
You sat up and avoided her gaze, looking down at your wooden floor. "N-No.. The bedroom's fine mom. I'm just worried about school tomorrow. I'll be the new kid. That means all the attention will be on me or I'll get no attention and never get any friends..."
She put her hand on your shoulder and smiled, you looked up at her. "Just be yourself! I'm sure everything will be just fine!"
You nodded in agreement. Hopefully she was right. Your mom stood up and began to walk out the door.
"When you're ready, come down for dinner! It's your favourite~ Hopefully it'll cheer you up!"
"Okay mom, I will." You said as you began to stare out your window.
Your mom closed the door and you heard her footsteps fade down the staircase outside your bedroom door.
Your mind started to wander until something snapped you out of it. You saw a boy walk down the sidewalk across from your house. He had only one eye, he looked a little odd. You noticed faint glitching coming from his body, he seemed upset. He was muttering to himself, you opened the window a bit.
"....gumball...traps...dumb" was all you could make out. He had a cute voice, kind of dorkish and had slight voice cracks. What the hell. Wait he's actually adorable?
But wait a sec, gumball? Was he referring to a person or the candy? Elmore was weird, the people here were weird. You wouldn't be surprised if there was an anthropomorphic piece of gum wandering the streets.
"Y/N!" You heard your mother call from downstairs. Right. Food. You stood up and stretched. You glanced out the window again, the boy was long gone. Oh well.
