Song for the chapter: The Black Keys - Psychotic Girl
+EDITED+
Teagan
His hands graze my side, making me suck in a breath.
"I missed you so much." He whispers against my lips, leaning his forehead against mine.
"I missed you too." I mumble, kissing him once again and causing a smile to break out on Aleks' face.
His hand reaches behind him and returns with a knife. His once smiling mouth was turned up in a malicious grin as he trails the knife along the edge of my face and across my collarbone.
Aleks pulls the knife away and studies it.
"Aleks, please don't-" my voice gets cut off by him bringing the sharp metal weapon down upon my pale flesh.
He gives me a bored look as he pulls his weapon from my chest and cleans the blood from it, flicking the glistening red liquid away from him.
Several coughs leave my mouth, each one resulting in more blood removing itself from my lungs.
My vision gets blurry as I hit the floor...
"No!" I scream, bolting upright in my bed with sweat gluing strands of hair to my face.
These nightmares were a frequent occurrence now, but the strange thing was that they never made sense. They would always start out with us acting as if we were a couple, although I disliked him in real life, and typically ended with him stabbing or killing me in some way.
Sometimes a voice will tell me to do something that I don't want to but it convinces me in some odd way. I'll break down crying over it or for no reason at all, normally resulting in a needle being jabbed into one of my veins to sedate me. Each time I woke up I'd forget everything that happened the day before.
There's been a strange feeling in my stomach that hasn't disappeared ever since I was shot in the side six months ago, but every time I questioned my mom about it she'd dismiss it as a stomach ache, though I knew that a stomach ache wasn't constant - this was more of a gut feeling.
I do remember that my hair had once been brown and reached the middle of my back and that my eyes had once been blue. Davne says that they changed my looks to protect me from The Creatures, so they gave me green colored contacts and chopped off more than half of my hair so that it was now to my shoulders and was a dark auburn.
It was quite the awkward look. My facial shape didn't go well with the hair but if it protected me, it was worth it.
You hate him.... You hate the boy.... Remember that...
I clamp my hands over my ears to stop the voice, but it continues.
We are your friends now.. They are your enemies..
I fall off the bed, landing with a thump. I pull myself against the wall and begin rocking back and forth.
You can feel no sympathy for the boy anymore... Hurt him... Kill him...
The eerie, gravelly voice cuts off. This is it. This is how my nights have been for the past several months, full of breakdowns, screams, and the questioning of my own sanity.
