The Night Sky with No Stars

I looked up at the sky one late evening
It is peaceful, it is calm but it looks empty
I wonder where are the stars might be?
Do they wander too to find a new place like me?
A place where it feels home with a guarantee?
I walked until I find a spot to sit
I'm in a middle of a street where the sky is above me
I looked up again and I felt the wind blows through me
I started crying and it gave me chill all over my body
As I watched the sky, it seems sad, too, like me
Where are the stars when I need them right here?
Do they hide, not wanting to be with me?
I need them to light up the night sky with sincerity
'Cause I can feel the sky's cry without them in it
It's empty, it's dull, it's dark, doesn't have a life like me
I prayed and prayed under the night sky with no stars
To have the Lord shed it with some light
'Cause I need it too, like how the sky wants it bright
So I can walk freely with no worries into the path where it's right
I closed my eyes and prayed for me to see the fire in the heart of the sky
As I looked up again at the night sky
I finally saw the stars behind the clouds
I stood, I smiled and I tried to reach it with my hands
I couldn't, I will never, but I felt happy inside
I realized, it doesn't matter how long you've been in the dark,
Because you can't appreciate the light without darkness just like in art.
