Walking through the Salvatore house, I sighed. If I had remembered correctly, Damon said I could go back to my apartment when his vampire-ish blood got out of my system, and yet here I was. Except I couldn't complain. There house was huge, and I enjoyed every second of it. I gathered my things for work, and I heard someone behind me. I spun around, facing a blonde who eyed me.
"Who are you?" She asked, looking me up and behind.
"I'm Danica... Who are you?" I narrowed my eyes.
"I'm Lexi. Stefan's friend" Lexi said, before pointing at me. "Stefan said something about you. He said you stayed here because of Damon."
"That's partly true" I nodded. "The other half is because this place is better than my crappy apartment I rented out a week ago." I looked at my watch before sighing. "I have to go. I got work."
"Oh, okay. Have fun" she spoke before she sped up the stairs. I shook my head, slinging my bag over my shoulder. I walked outside, thinking I would have to walk since Damon wasn't here. A car pulled into the driveway, and it looked oddly familiar. "Is that my car?" I asked as the car parked right in front of me.
"Yes, it is" Damon spoke, climbing out of the driver seat.
"You brought it to me" I smiled happily.
"Yeah. I thought it'd be better for me than having to drive you everywhere" Damon smirked.
"Well, thank you" I spoke as he handed me the keys.
"You're welcome" I went to get in the car, but Damon stopped me. "Before you leave, you need to know you're going to a party tonight."
"What?" I scoffed. "No I'm not."
"Please? It'd make me happy" Damon smiled, thinking that'd change my mind.
"That changes my mind why?" I asked, and I smiled as his smile fell.
"It's also Stefan's birthday" he added.
"Oh, really? Is that why Lexi is inside the house?" I asked.
"Ooh, Lexi is here?" Damon smirked.
"I'll go to the party, but only because it's Stefan's birthday" I smiled as Damon scowled.
"I mean so little to you?" Damon asked.
"Well..." I began, making Damon scoff. "I'm kidding" I laughed, climbing into the car. "I have to go. Thanks again!" I started the car as Damon smiled and waved.

When my shift ended, I sighed happily at the fact I had my car. I drove back to the boarding house, and quickly texted Damon since his car wasn't in the driveway.
When and where is this party?
Mystic Grill in an hour he replied right away.
I climbed out of the car, walking inside of the boarding house. I bumped into the same brunette haired girl, and Lexi in a towel.
"I'm sorry, who are you?" Lexi asked gesturing to the brunette.
"I'm Elena..." Elena trailed off. "Who are you?"
"I'm Lexi. A friend of Stefan's" Lexi spoke glancing at me.
"Where is Stefan?" Elena asked, glancing at me.
"In the shower" Lexi answered, and I went around the both of them. With the way the conversation was going, I didn't really want to be a part of it. I threw on an old, thigh length, red lace dress, and called it good. I put on some make up, eye shadow, mascara, and light pink lip gloss. I let my hair out of the pony tail I had placed it in today, and brushed it out. I kept it down, my wavy hair reaching my shoulder blades. I checked the time, and noticed I had about ten minutes until I had to leave. I walked out of my room I've been staying in, and bumped into Stefan.
