The sun rose and I began to wake everyone up. One by one they moaned in sleepiness. "So, no ship, no map, no clue where Polyphemus lives. This quest is off to a great start!" Raven said. "Do you ever stop being sarcastic?" Drax said looking annoyed.
We began making our way through forrest to see if we could find any help. As we got deeper into the Forrest we found an area that resembled a grave yard. "We're in the middle of no where but there's a graveyard?" Troy said with a confused look. "Maybe there's someone here who can tell us where we are." Lauren said looking around. "Oh yeah, cause dead people are the best with direction." Raven said still being sarcastic. "Well Mrs.Sarcasm, I am a son of Hades." Drax said.
He then walked over to one of the graves and focused over it. Holding his hands over it like there was a warm fire there. His gloves then began to glow a dark shade of purple, just the aura of it made it hard for me to breathe. Then there was a rumble beneath us and a dark ghost like figure rose from the grave. "Who had awoken me from my sleep?" It said. "Me, son of Hades, I summoned you to ask of where we might be." He said sounding stern and confident in his words. "You are where beauty means death, the heart may lead you to the wrong place, you are where it's better to hear than to listen." And as he said that he slowly faded back into the grave. "Why does everyone have to speak in riddles and shit?" Troy said annoyed by the ghost.
"Sirens." Lauren said sounding scared and aware. "I doubt there's police on this island Lauren." Violet said. "No, I should've known this before. Sirens are creatures who lure people to their island, usually pirates, and when they get close enough they crash and die. Luckily we survived, but that must mean that if we don't get out of here fast enough the Sirens will continue to try and find ways to kill us." Lauren said explaining it to us. "How are we supposed to defend ourselves? The only one here with a weapon is Caleb." Elena said, sadly playing with her fork. "Well it didn't turn into a weapon until I really focused on the things my dad could do, maybe if you try then-" as I said that Drax's gloves glowed a brighter said of purple than before and slowly grew into large gauntlets on his hands. "Well, shit." Raven said looking at his gauntlets in awe. "I wanna try!" Troy said looking in his mirror admiring himself. His mirror then showed the image of a large white boat then began to shift into a dagger with a red blade. The blade was made of a beautiful stone, one where you couldn't resist staring. "Can I help yall?" Troy said smirking at his new dagger.
"What's that smell?" Raven said sniffing the air towards the west side of the Forrest. "What smell?" I asked confused. "It smells like old blood, from that way." She said pointing. "Then let's go." Drax said walking towards where she pointed.
As we began walking towards the direction Raven pointed you could hear two different voices singing. "Which one do we go to?" Elena asked quietly. "I suggest we split up, and meet in this same spot in no more than 2 hours." Lauren said. "Agreed. Me, Drax, and Raven go this way. Lauren, Troy, Elena, and Violet go the other." I said confidently.
"Ok before we go in here I want to know everything you guys learned from your parents, skill wise." I said to Drax and Raven. "Me first." Drax said.
He then changed his gloves into gauntlets again and placed his hands on a tree. His entire body started to radiate a faint purple color and slowly the color in the tree started to drain down into his hands. "That's only half of what he showed me, the other half is too dangerous to just show." He said modestly. "Raven?" I asked. I would assume Raven would have similar abilities to me since our parents are twins and all. "Ok, it's not as cool as Drax's but-." She then took out her staff which extended into a bow similar to mine. She shot in arrow into the air but instead of it being made of fire it resembled the bright color of the moon. She then morphed into a bird that resembled a hawk the size of a small person, caught the arrow, and when she flew back down morphed into a wolf and brought it back as though we just fetch. She then morphed back into her normal self. "I see we're showing off now," Drax said looking envious of Raven's skill "Caleb, what else can you do besides shoot fire?" He asked.
"Thought you'd never ask." I said bending the light around me to make invisible to Drax and Raven. I then reappeared behind him and tapped his shoulder. "Holy shit," Drax said, "You can teleport?" He said in shock. "No stupid he bent the light, he's a son of Apollo." Raven said looking annoyed by his stupid question.
After we figured out what we could all get done we went to see what this siren looked like. "Is that a mermaid?" Drax said as we approached a creature that resembled a mermaid swimming in a small lake. "Only one way to find out." I said walking towards the mermaid like creature.
As we approached her we noticed she wasn't as pretty as she seemed from behind the trees. "Talk about a 50-footer." Drax said.
The lady then begun to sing gently, sounding just as beautiful as the voices we heard yesterday, but this time she sang, "You'll all die soon." Over and over. "We're gonna die soon." I heard Drax saying as he slowly walked closer to her. "You'll all di-" this time she was cut off by a white arrow flying down her throat. She stopped singing and began screaming, sounding like a crowd of people mixed with the sound of a radio when it's frying. She then rushed out of the water revealing sharp teeth and claws. Her body moved along the land like of a snake.
"Yeah, now would be a great time for that trick of yours Drax." I said shootings flaming arrows but missing her slender body. "I need to get higher!" He shouted smirking and giving Raven a sly look. "I hate you." Raven said morphing into a large hawk and flying Drax above the, now we know where they get the name, Siren. "Now!" I shouted as she dropped him a pulse of darkness shot through Drax's hands killing the Siren. I altered the light under him to ensure he landed safely. "That's what my daddy taught me." Drax said walking away proudly. We heard a high pitch scream and began making our way to the rest of our team.
When we got there we saw everyone except Troy hiding behind trees. "If you touch me, so help me god, that will be the last note you will ever sing." The siren then stood completely still. "Guys just focus on your parents for your weapons to work!" I shouted at them. Moments later the small fork Elena was holding turned into a large trident and the water from the lake where the Siren once was came to obey Elena. Elena then pointed the trident towards the Siren sending a wave of water hurling her into the arms of Drax. He then began to radiate the shade of purple as he did early as he began to drain the life out of the siren.
As everyone began catching their breath we heard a scream louder than the rest. We continued walking and saw her, I would assume she was the leader of the Sirens. "Damn, bitch. The hell are you eating?" Troy said amazed by her height. She stood about 30 ft tall and had a voice louder than the rest.
"Lauren. Violet. Focus. We need all the weapons we can get." I said to them. As I said that Lauren's bracelet extended into shield and had a sword hanging out the end. Nothing happened with the small bottle of water Violet held.
"Lets kill this overgrown bitch." Drax said running towards the large siren.
