She knew she shouldn't do it, but here she was, on his doorstep, defying all her mind was shouting, giving in to her heart's desire, she wanted him in her life, even though she knew well enough she deserves much better. But then again, heart wants what it wants, at least that was her defence in all situations.
She skips a beat, rather a hundred beats, as she waits for him to open the door. It has been really long she last hugged him, kissed him, been with him. But it was he who left her, even though she was very understanding. It was he who should've been letting of his ego for her, but it was the other way around.
As the waits to see him, she ignores the giggles of a woman behind the door, she ignores it, thinking it's only her subconscious - "I know what my heart wants," she used to tell herself.
A couple of seconds later, the door opens, in front of her is a stunningly beautiful woman, wearing one of his shirts - one that she loved to put on - her smile was priceless as she used to have be. She stares at this woman, as her whole world looses balance, she feels her soul leaving her, breathless, she takes a step back, feeling empty, feeling nothing. She takes a few steps back, and realizes it wasn't her world anymore, he wasn't her's anymore.
