PLAY THE GAME
"Mom, what's with you and Marikit?" I asked my mother over the phone. Nasa pool ako habang pinapanood si Titi na nalangoy kasama ang yaya niya habang ang mommy niya naman ay nagluluto ng dinner.
"What's that question again?" she asked.
"Bakit mo binibilhan ng mga nakakainis na damit si Marikit?" I changed the question.
"Don't you think it's high time she changes her looks?"
"As I told you earlier, hindi mo siya gusto and you weren't even masking it before, why the change of heart?"
"Gavin, she gave you up for her niece's sake. I think it was more than courageous, hindi lahat ng babae kayang mag-sacrifice lalo na kung inlove sila sa lalake"
"Do you think she still love me?"
"Tanungin mo siya"
"Mom--"
"--Gavin, just ask her" she cut me off.
"But I don't want her to accept me just because of Titi too, naghiwalay kami nang walang kahirap-hirap noon because I already knew she would do what she did, ang ipaubaya ako kung makipaghiwalay nga ako sa kanya. Ano ang guarantee na hindi siya nandito ngayon nang dahil lamang sa sulat? Ica asked her to be Titi's mother"
"So that was the reason why you didn't give the letter to her? "
"Yeah, I do not want to corrupt her judgement"
"Too late, I gave it to her! It's her letter anyway kaya hindi ako guilty"
I sighed. "Talk to you later mom" Sambit ko nalang.
"Woo her, I guess that's what you have to do para mainlove siya muli sa iyo"
"Bye Ma--" I said refraining my eyes to roll kasi di naman niya ako nakikita
"Did you hear me?"
"I will get her my way, I know what to do Ma"
"Good luck then" she said at nawala na sa linya.
I need to say goodbye to my mother because Marikit just went out of the kitchen at lumalapit na sa akin.
Her scent was just so good na busog na yata ako kahit hindi na ako magdinner.
"I know I smell good pero mas masarap iyong niluto kong dinner Mister" she said upon reaching me.
A sly smile escaped my lips.
"If you say so Misis"
"Nilalandi mo ba ako?" Taas kilay niya.
"Magpapalandi ka ba?" I asked back and looked straightly in her eyes.
I learned how to play her game earlier.
Just ask back what she asks to stun her. Kanina ganito din ang epekto ko sa kanya. She will blush. I do not know what she was playing at but I will make sure she won't get the best of me.

Matapos siyang mag blush ay kumunot ang noo niya.

"Hindi ko ugali pero kung iyon ang gusto mo, kaya ko naman" She said after doing it and even winked before going to see Titi.
Oh fucking erection! Not again! Hindi ka na nakakatuwa.
Hanggang sa nakaahon na sa pool si Titi ay nanatili akong naestatwa sa kinatatayuan ko.
