Stupid Crazy Dummy Insane

Once upon a time

It's late at night and my boyfriend Jake, who I've been with for 7 years now, and i are at his friend Jaime's house with our other friend Blake. We are in Jaime's room while Jake and Blake take turns playing on his computer. Jaime's sitting on the floor and I'm sitting on his bed watching Netflix on my phone when my friend Holly texts me. 

"Who wants to go to the beach with me this weekend? My old friend from middle school invited me and some other friends of hers that I don't know, and I don't want to go alone." I sat there waiting on a response from someone, anyone.

"I can't I have to work this weekend," said Jake. 

"I can't, I have to work too," said Blake.

"I'll go, I have nothing else to do," said Jaime.

"Oh, thank you so much Jaime! You're a life saver."

"No problem, but you're driving." said Jaime.

"That's fine by me," I said flipping my hair. I don't mind driving, I actually think it's fun so I get excited anytime I get to drive. Especially with friends in the car. 

I text Holly back letting her know I'm going to bring a friend knowing it's completely fine by her. But I text her that anyways to let her know. I press play on the show I'm watching and quickly turn up the volume as Jake and Blake are screaming in excitement over the computer game. Boys, am I right? 

Saturday morning comes along and I wake Jake up to ask him where his speaker is so I can use it at the beach. Turns out it wasn't charged and now I have no speaker to listen to music. Bummer. So I finish getting ready and kiss Jake goodbye while he gets ready for work and text Jaime that I'm on my way to his house to pick him up.

As we get to the beach, I introduce Jaime to Holly and Holly introduces us to all her friend who I have never met before. Thank God Jaime's here because this would have been extremely awkward without any one I knew here with me. I notice right away that Holly is giving her other friends more attention than she is to me so I asked Jaime to play volleyball with me. All the nets are taken so instead we just pass it back and forth to each other on an open area. When we got bored we went into the water and just enjoyed the beach. I honestly didn't understand why I was invited because Holly barely spoke to me all day, which kind of made me mad. So after a few hours I decided to leave. I had fun with Jaime but I really wish that Holly would have talked to me more. We used to be best friends back in middle school and early high school. But then she moved and then she changed. 

I took Jaime back to his house and went back home. 

"How was the beach?" asked Jake.

"It was okay. Holly barely talked to me but Jaime and I still made a good time out of it I guess. I sort of wish I didn't go to be honest," I said as I was getting dressed from the shower I just took. 

Jake apologized briefly and quickly grabbed his game controller, signing in to a game. "Alright boys are you ready? Bro, I know right? HAHA! That's crazy. Yo, did you see the new update?" 

As i finished getting ready to lay on the bed, I grabbed my headphones and started watching the same show I was watching at Jaime's house. I got a text from Holly again. 

"Thank you for coming, I had a great time." 

"Anytime, I had a great time as well." I turned Netflix off and plugged the charger into the phone, grabbed the blanket and went to sleep.
