Two days later, Y/N was training Gardevoir and Starly in their moves. With Y/N's help, Gardevoir managed to use Magical Leaf without any mistakes and Starly managed to get better at using Peck. After several hours of training, Sheena appeared in the doorway with an unsure look on her face.
"Y/N we need to talk", she said and Y/N followed her into the living room with Gardevoir and Starly following behind too. Sheena and Y/N headed to the living room with Gardevoir and Starly. Sheena sat in a chair while Y/N sat in another chair opposite her.
"Y/N, There's something I want to talk to you about", Sheena said and Y/N leaned forward, unsure of what she was going to say.
"What is it Mom?", he asked and Sheena sighed
"I remember what you were talking about when I found you in the forest, that you don't know where you came from. I want to help you out", she replied and Y/N was a little confused
"How do you want to help me out?", he asked and Sheena looked down at her feet
"I want to let you go out and explore this region, learn new things, discover where you came from. Understand your origin.", she said. Y/N took a moment to think about it
"I do want to discover where I came from, but I also do not want to leave you Mom", he said getting off the chair and hugging her. Sheena sighed
"I don't want to leave you either. But if it's what you want to do, then I will support your decision", she replied hugging him back. Gardevoir joined in the hug
"If you do decide to go, I will join you to protect you no matter what", she said gently and Y/N smiled a little. He looked at Sheena
"Mom, I do want to go and discover where I came from. I want to know what my purpose is", he said and Sheena nodded
"Then we should get you what you'll need for your journey", she replied before they headed out to the nearest shop. It took them several hours to find exactly what they needed, but eventually they got what they needed. They headed back home with what they had bought. Sheena had bought some more clothes for Y/N in case he got dirty or wet, a few bits of sleepwear whenever the night closed in, some gloves in case he had to handle things carefully such as brambles or sharp objects and a large backpack to carry what he needed. When they got home, they began sorting out what supplies they would need most. They planned that the more important things would go at the top to make it easier for him to reach. Once the plan had been laid out and everything had been folded up and prepared, Y/N looked out the window at the horizon. Sheena walked up and placed a hand on his shoulder.
"Whatever is out there, I know you'll be able to find ways to overcome the dangers", she said. Y/N looked at Sheena and hugged her tightly. Sheena returned the hug gently and kissed his forehead. She knew this was going to be very difficult for both of them, but she knew some things had to be sacrificed for /N to discover what his purpose was in this world.
