Maddie POV

Chaine, pique, glissade, grand jete.

I said inside my head as I ran through a tricky combo for my new solo this week. It was a beautiful lyrical piece entitled "Brand New Day" I was almost guaranteed to win first overall.

I finished the combo with a roll of my head and a sweet smile at myself in the mirror. I stood up and turned to Miss Abby.

"Beautiful job! You're dismissed for the night!" Miss Abby says with a smile.

I walked out of studio A and sat in the dancers den. I took of my turner and threw it in my dance duffel. I readjusted my bow and walked over to the other girls.

"No he's seriously coming ba-" Mackenzie starts to say before Brooke slaps her hand over Mackenzie's mouth.

"Fuck." Paige mutters under her breath.

"Hey Maddie!" Chloe chirps normally.

"Uh, what were you guys talking about?" I ask slowly.

I sit down between Kendall and Chloe and look at all the girls desperately. All the girls look at each other and Brooke nods reassuringly.

"Bad news. Rumor has it Gino is joining the team." Mackenzie says.

"WHAT?!" I scream.

This can't be happening. Just three months ago Gino and I had an awful breakup when I found out he was just using me for a bet. $1,000 he could date me for the 5 months he was in Pittsburgh.

"I'm sorry. He's supposed to be coming tomorrow for the group dance. He probably won't have a solo but you never know with Miss Abby." Kendall adds.

I felt myself getting dizzy. He would screw my whole life! I finally had another solid relationship with my boyfriend Nick and now he thinks he can waltz back in here like nothing happened? This is going to be a long season...
