Prologue

All men were not born equal, I learnt this at the age of five, when a man in a suit came to tell my mum that my dad had died, she was devastated, and at the time I had no clue what was going on, all I knew was that the man gave me a cool medal that my father had earned, and he told me if I ever needed help to call the number on the back and tell the operator "oxfords not brogues" to get his help.

This was 18 years ago, since then I had graduated highschool top of my class and signed up for the marines, I was gonna be like my dad and fight for what's right, I had also taken up gymnastics as a teen, I had placed a spot on the Olympic team until I broke my leg and missed out on going. My mum remarried and had another kid, her husband is a dick and I hate him, I returned from my marine tour to find my mum beaten and abused whilst my half sister was sitting in her room, cowering in fear.

When Dan returned home that night it was a shock for him to find me there, when he walked in the door the first thing I did was push him up against the frame "what the fuck did you do to them?!" I yelled at him " Who the fuck do you think you are breaking into my house and accusing me with no proof?!" Was the only response I got, in response to that I just punched Dan in the stomach then in the head knocking him out, he had it coming anyway, there neighbour called their cops on me and I was arrested that same day, when the pigs looked through my criminal history they started laying some serious charges on me, that's when I remember what I had in my pocket, "I would like to exercise my right to a phone call" I spurred out "I hope it's to your mother, to tell her you'll be 24 months late for dinner" the cop replied before leaving the room. I read the numbers on the back of the medal for the first time in years I knew that if I wanted four of this it was my only option, so I punched in the numbers and phoned them, an answering machine for a tailor shop on savole row replied, I thaught it was weird but remembered what I had to say, "oxfords not brogues" immediately the phone hung up and I thought I waisted my call until 5 minutes later a different cop came in apologising for the misunderstanding and let me go, when I walked outside that's when I heard a man say "Hello Izuku, it's been awhile" I turned around to see a man in a suit who looked of my familiar but I didn't know why, "Who the fuck are you?" I asked, "I'm the one who got you out, a little gratitude would be nice, I'm also the man that gave you that medal" that's the day my life changed for good
