The moving van pulls up to the empty house in pallet town a new family was moving in on the edge close to professors oaks lab. the family was moving in due to the mothers new job as the professors new assistant.
The Van door opens to reveals a Ginger women in a lab coat taking a deep breath in as she gets a whiff of her new home "come on young man come have a look at your new home" she says looking into the van and sees her 6 year old son a slightly nerdy looking boy who is half asleep who slowly awakens and steps out side the van still clinging to a plushy umbreon "so we are here now mummy?" she rubs his eye and looks at the women "yep sweety we are here its a bit late but the professor has offered to let us stay in the lab until our home is all set up so lets go say hello" she smirks and locks up the van before walking up to professors oaks lab.
she knocks on the door and a young man with brown hair opens the door "a miss Lynne its great to finally meet you in person " this man was professor Gary oak

he looks down behind her and smiles at the tired young boy "and this must be your son matthew correct" the women smiles "yes he is a bit sleepy from the long drive from johto " he smirks and spots the plushy and whistles and his umbreon comes runing over witch brightens up the smalls boys face as he bends down trying to call it over witch it does and he pets it happily
the professor smiles "he is a sweet boy and clearly loves Pokemon" the women smiles "Yes takes after his father and has a close connection with dark type Pokemon" she smiles "but it is quite late so he should be in bed" Gary nods " of course " he leans down and holds out his hand "hi there matthew my names Gary " the small boy shakes it "h-hello" he smiles "would you like umbreon to show you to your room" Matthews face lights up and nods. Gary asks umbreon to do just that and would sleep next to him to allowing a decent sleep. The professor gives her a room next his for the night and heads to bed.
