"I've traveled the world. From the screaming wastes down to Gray Port, across the ocean to the eastern kingdom, to a land of meteors and even stood before a deep scar in the ground looking into the planets core. And In all my travels I have met a great many people, yet none of them are as striking as Armas. I have met Kings, beggars, assassins and holy men from every walk of life, yet none of them were half as curious and interesting as Armas. And even as I sit before you, hair frosted by too many winters and face forever marked by the many miles I've walked, I assure you. He still resides beneath the cemetery in his lab as if untouched by time. Though do not be fooled. He does not fear change, he does not hide from it or try to prevent it. He is simply so sure of his lot in life, so committed to his work, so undaunted by anything that the world throws at him he does not seek out anything but knowledge. Adventure, excitement, insanity, hardship and trouble may always manage to find him. Yet no matter how many times his life is uprooted he always returns, as if challenging the world to try harder next time.

Now I know what you are thinking. Why haven't you heard of this man. Why is he absent from text books. Why don't we sing his praises while we drink and recall his adventures around the fire. Well the answer to that is very simple. Armas is a great man, a smart man, a brave man, a dedicated man. But one thing he is not, is a good man. The world could burn to ash, every life extinguished, and the stars blasted from the sky. And he would not lift a finger until he was personally targeted by the offender. He had a hand in many great things, stopped some awful things and prevented evil men from completing their plans but always against his will and while being dragged along by others.

Others like Virgil of the clear waters, Duchess Maefol, Governor Spobbin, The ranger Kayel, The iron wolf, and of course his closest companion Vince, The butcher of Hasta. These are men and women that have tales told about them. They are figures that will be remembered for ages even long after they have died. Even though he is the reason these figures knew each other. Even though he had a hand in their adventures. Even though many lives would have been lost over the years had he not been involved in different conflicts.

It is because of a man named Armas that we are talking now. Because you see, the town you plan on attacking...is where he lives. And it is because of him, you are going to forget your plan and move along. Not because I am afraid you will harm him or even cause him to exert himself. But because I worry what he will do to you, and I really don't want to be around to clean up the mess"
