"I thought you left town" I spoke up, as I walked from the tattoo parlor shop to my car. I walked right passed Damon going right to the driver side of the car.
"I was only gone for a day" he scoffed.
"Yeah, and that day I was in the hospital" I turned to face him angrily as I unlocked the door. "Alone. And you decide to go on a road trip with Stefan's girlfriend."
"Why are you so angry about this?" Damon asked, coming to stand right in front of me.
"Maybe because I wouldn't have been in the hospital if you hadn't come into my life. I was kidnapped by a vampire. One you most likely knew. Then you ran off, and left me" I went to open the door, but Damon forced it closed.
"Have you forgot I'm a vampire. I don't feel anything" Damon glowered at me.
"Well, I'm sorry I thought we grew closer" I harshly whispered. A phone rang in Damon's pocket, and he pulled it out without breaking eye contact with me. "Why do you have Stefan's phone?" I asked, seeing the familiar phone.
Damon didn't answer, instead listening to the person who called him. "Stefan? Wait, slow down. What happened?" I stayed quiet, waiting for him to be done with the phone call. "Yeah, I'll be there in a few" Damon hung up and sighed. "Elena was just attacked by a vampire."
"Elena as in Stefan's girlfriend... Who you disappeared with yesterday" I crossed my arms.
"Do you want to come with me or not?" Damon asked. I debated on if I should or not, but I couldn't resist not.
"Fine. You're driving" I tossed him the car keys before going to the passenger side. We arrived at Elena's house within minutes, and I got out of the car. I wrapped my arms around myself, trying to keep myself warm until we got in the house. Warmth enveloped me as Damon placed his leather jacket around my bare shoulders. I glanced up at him as I pulled the jacket closer. "Thanks" I mumbled.
"Yup" he replied, keeping his eyes on the house. Damon opened the door, walking right inside.
"Okay. Just walk right in" I mumbled, following after him. Elena glanced up at the door, and narrowed her eyes at me. I guess I understood since we're basically strangers and just walked into her house. "Elena, right?" I asked. She nodded, glancing at Stefan. "I'm Danica."
"I know. Damon's told me about you" she nodded, glancing at Damon.
"I heard what happened earlier... Are you okay?" I asked, ignoring her comment.
"Yeah, I- I'm fine" Elena nodded.
"How was he invited in?" Damon then asked after watching Elena and I interact.
"He posed as a pizza delivery guy" Stefan replied.
"I'll give him points for that" Damon scoffed. "Did he sat what he wanted?"
"No" Elena scoffed. "He was to busy trying to kill me."
"Well, we need to do something" Damon spoke. "Since he was invited in, you're not safe here. You should let Stefan bring you to the dance. See if he shows up."
"I don't think that's a good idea" Stefan shook his head.
"If we don't do something about this no one is safe in this house" Damon ignored Stefan, talking directly to Elena.
Elena nodded, "I'm in." She then turned to me, "are you going?"
"Uh, no" Damon shook his head at the same time I said yes.
"Come with me" Elena spoke, standing up and making her way upstairs. Before I went up the stairs I gave a Damon a smug smirk.
