The year is 2027 and humankind has been struck with an epidemic of intense sleep disorders. Nightmares, sleep paralysis, and night terrors become normal parts of everyday life, and the whole world is on edge.
That's when people begin going missing from their own beds.
Every morning it seems like there are new reports of these disappearances. Wives go to sleep next to their husbands and wake up alone, not even a clue as to where they went. Children wake up without parents. Dogs wake without owners.
Those who have disappeared are called the vanished.
While the waking world remains oblivious, the vanished have been dragged into a terrifying alternate dimension called the nightmare realm.
This is where you wake up.
Here, anxieties and phobias manifest in physical forms— monsters prey on fear and flesh. Walls close in on claustrophobes. This world is a dark, macabre version of our own.
The nightmare realm is alive. And it feeds off of fear.
