Here is a quick one shot ☺️

"Well, this is it Teme." Naruto said to his best friend laying next to him. The fight between the two brave warriors had cost them each a arm and possibly now their lives. "Dobe, this isn't it Sakura is going to be here soon. She has enough medical knowledge to fix this." Sasuke said referring to not just their arms but also the rest of their injuries. "Yes but, even if we were healed this is over. It won't be the same." Sasuke was a bit confused at this statement. "Hn, I don't get what your saying." Naruto shifted his head to look at Sasuke. "Think about it. It will never be like the false reality I had in my head all these years. The reality where we could all be team seven again. The false reality where you won't be punished for your crimes, where everything is going to be okay."

"Dobe, that does sound far fetched." Sasuke told him. Naruto chuckled and looked towards the sky. "It honestly doesn't matter anymore though. I'm as good as a dead man." Naruto said looking back up at the sky. The smell of dirt blood and sweat surrounding them. Not to mention the lingering smell of death radiating from the battle grounds not to far off. "What do you mean?" Sasuke's voice was laced with worry. "Well, my body is at its limits. I've abused it to much these pass couple of days." Naruto was watching how the night sky was turning from night to dawn. "I'm just so tired Sasuke."

"Hey, Dobe don't fall asleep on me." Sasuke said chuckling. His chuckling started to fade when he realized Naruto didn't make a sound. "Hey, Naruto." He said a bit louder starting to panic a bit. "Sorry, I think I black out for a sec." He chuckled. "You scared the shit out of me dobe!" It was Naruto's turn to chuckle. "What's up with you being so talkative? So out of character for you Sasuke. I feel touched that you would be worried for me!" Naruto said sarcastically. "Hn. Where is Sakura anyway?" Sasuke moved his head looking for any signs of her.

"Sasuke?" Sasuke turned his head back to Naruto. "Hn?" Naruto inhaled sharply and squinting his eyes in pain. "I just want to ask you to take care of Sakura for me." Naruto said to him looking serious. "No, you can look after her Naruto. I think the lack of sleep is getting to you." Naruto's head snapped to the side. "Promise me." Sasuke was a bit taken back. "Fine, if something ever happened to you. I would take care of her for you." Naruto's look softened. "Good, thanks Sasuke. Thanks for everything. For being my best friend, my brother, and my rival. Our relationship has always felt special to me and I just wanted to let you know. I'm sorry for not being there for you in your darkest times. I hope you can for- *coughs* give me." Naruto felt himself fading and Sasuke felt it too.

Sasuke started to feel tears prick his eyes. "Naruto your not the one who should be apologizing! I should! I'm sorry! I'm so fucking sorry I put you through all this! I was to blinded by rage and I'm so sorry! Just don't die!" Sasuke shouted trying to sit up. Naruto looked at him and put one last smile on his face. "I forgive you, sasu-ke." And with those last words. The candle that was flickering went out completely. The short life of yet another was lost to the unforgiving time of war. Sasuke's breathe hitching and felt tears streaming down his face at this point. "No, no, no your not dead Dobe. You can't be dead! YOU WEREN'T SUPPOSED TO DIE LIKE THIS! YOU AREN'T SUPPOSED TO FORGIVE ME! YOUR SUPPOSED TO BECOME HOKAGE!" Sasuke shouted finally dragging himself to Naruto. Slowly his world faded to black from blood loss.

Now some would say that, the soul of Naruto uzumaki took some stops before going to the after life. They say that he stopped to say goodbye to anyone and everyone who he considered a friend. People say he is and will always be a legend and the people who were the closer to him say that he is probably eating ramen with his parents. That he is talking with the famous Neji Hyugga. That if you squint hard enough at his grave you will see him Smiling at you. Don't forget Naruto Uzumaki will continue smiling in the hearts of all those he touched.

I kinda feel bad for writing this. I hope you got at least a bit emotional after reading this.
