Chapter 17: Visitors

After countless hours and many tears shed and lots of confusion felt, Addy was ready to have visitors.

Carmen was the first one to walk in, after the whole Kik crew had been told and rushed over. Calum sat with his head in his hands, thinking it was all his fault. Alli sat, staring at the wall, feeling so much sadness it could not even be put into words. Ashton stood next to her, wiping up her tears and whispering reassuring words.

Maya and Luke were sitting facing each other, their romantic night together being ruined. A look of shock was still fresh on Maya's face, feeling like she would never see her best friend again. Addy and Maya were the best of friends. What the Kik crew didn't know was that Addy and Maya were good friends beyond their screens. Now, Maya felt deprived and empty, even with Luke there with her.

Then there was Michael and Carmen. Carmen sat, fuming, thinking of ways to break into the room. Michael spent the time trying to talk to the doctors and nurses calmly and get any sort of information out of them. He knew how all the girls felt about Addy, and they all loved her dearly. If she had ended it all, they would never be the same again. Maya could never be pieced back together. Carmen would never be happy. Alli would be alone.

But worst of all, Calum would feel like a murderer.

Then, a kind looking woman approached them as they all stood up in hope.

She went to Carmen and whispered in her ear softly, "I know you guys have been waiting for what feels like an eternity. I understand. Every minute is longer here. But, I am pleased to say that Addy is ready for visitors."

Carmen shot towards the door and peeked inside. All the other's followed her into the depressing cell.

"ADDY!" Maya screamed, tears pouring down her face, she ran to hug her. "Why would you do that to me? To Alli? To Carmen? You know how much we love you and we wouldn't be able to live without you!" She sobbed.

"Addy." Carmen said softly, sniffling as she inched towards her. "Maya is right. All those little fights we had don't matter anymore. We're here for you, and that's never going to change." She took her hand in hers and patted it softly while saying this.

"We love you Addy." Alli said simply, in a tone of pure truth. "Forever."

"I love you, darling. I'm sorry if I ever made you think different."

A quiet shy voice was heard from the back of the cramped room. Everyone knew who it was.

Calum stepped out from behind Michael and looked Addy straight in the face, tear stains visible.

"I hope you still love me."
