ACN: Preliminary Exams/Happy Birthday Kimi!!!!

"According to the rules of the Chunin Exams, a preliminary round can be held at any stage in order to reduce the number of candidates remaining." Hayate explains. "But is that even fair?" a bewildered Sakura asks.

At this time Kimichi walks in with her eyes blood shot making sure to slam the door behind her. "So let me get this straight. You woke me up at this ungodly hour to take a fricking extra exam!?!" she yells obviously infuriated. The few genin who knew what she was like when she was cranky stood frozen in fear.

"Yes, but only because there are too many of you. *COUGH HACK WHEEZE* Now as I was saying if you-" Hayate was interrupted by his own coughing. "If anyone doesn't seem up to par here its you." Kimichi whispers to the air still ticked that she's awake at this hour. "Sorry about that, as I was saying if you don't feel at the best physical condition you should bow out now. The preliminaries will be starting immediately." Sounds of annoyance could be heard from all around the room. "Hn. Good I can let some steam off." Kimichi says summoning her twin katana.

"The winners will be determined by one on one combat, sudden death, so if anyone doesn't feel up to it now's the time to raise your hand."

Hey wait a minute that sensei from the sound looks exactly like that snake bastard from the- I bite my tongue to keep my groans of pain silent. Damn it so it is him. I glare at Orochimaru with his stupid smug smirk looks like Sasuke is going through the same thing. This pain starts getting stronger until its unbearable. I fall to my knees leaning over the floor clutching my neck. ITAI! Make it stop! "Kimi! Hey you okay?! What's going on?!" Shikamaru asks worriedly attempting to console me. I glare at the so called "Sound Village Jounin". I'll kill that evil snake even if I die trying. Team 7 make their way to my side after Shikamaru calls them over. Before I know it Sasuke is supporting my weight and his while I lean on him. "You both need to quit please! I'm begging you!" "No." Sasuke says sternly and looks over at me, silently pleading with me to back out with his eyes. "No way in hell am I letting that snake prove that I'm too weak for his f*cking curse-mark. I'm fine." I say once again heated at his doubt. I carry my own weight and despite the pain walk towards the other side of the room to the Sand Siblings.

The kid with the info cards raises his hand, "Alright you got me." "Kabuto Yakushi, alright you can go." He and Naruto exchange a few words and he leaves the arena. "Alright let's begin. There are now exactly twenty-two of you," the proctor begins. Twenty-two?! That means there was another one man squad. Sounds challenging. "as for the rules of this exam there are none. You will fight until one dies, concedes defeat, is rendered unable to continue, or if I stop you. Now it's time for fate to choose your battles." he finishes. Psh what a cheese puff. "The first contestants' names will show up." He wasn't lying. On the board it reads:

I smile to myself victoriously even through the pain. "Good luck Kimi, not that you'll need it." Temari says sending me a smirk. "You're right I don't." I said sending her a friendly smirk back. *COUGH* Okay this dude should seriously see a doctor. "Okay everyone other than the opposing candidates will now clear the area and move to the upper level." Everyone begins walking to the stairs. Shika, Hinata, Shino, and Choji all stop by me. "Look Kimi we don't blame you for whatever the hell that was that happened to you out there okay?" Shika says addressing the elephant in the group. I smile and say with a sigh, "Well that's a relief. Any inspirational words?" "You can do it." they chorus each giving me a smile even Shino, I'm one of the few people that he actually has shown his face to. "Haha thanks guys I'll do my best!" I say pulling them all into a hug.
