[ Komine ] Kody x Lumine

She then stood in front of me and gently pushed the earrings into the newly formed holes.

" There ya go! " She said, giggling. I felt them, tracing my finger along the glossy bumps.

" Here, want me to take a picture of them for you? " I nodded, returning a smile. She took out her phone and snapped a picture of my ear. She gave me her phone momentarily and showed me the picture.

" You like them? " I nodded again, giggling. She laughed.

" So, what's your name? "

" Lumine. What about yours? "

" That's a pretty name! Mine's Kate, and this is my girlfriend, Alex. " Kate said, gesturing to the girl she was walking with earlier. She had chocolatey brown eyes and long, black hair. She put up a hand, which I guessed was a greeting of some sort.

Suddenly, Kate's bright green eyes lit up as she tapped an app aggressively with her finger and showed her phone to me again. It showed her contacts, only a few people on the screen, most of which were family and her girlfriend's family.

" Want to exchange numbers? You seem like a pretty fun person! " I thought about it for a second.

" Your going to freak the guy out. " Alex said, chuckling as she placed a hand on her shoulder. Kate puffed out her cheek playfully in response. I shook my head and took Kate's phone from her hand.

" I'm fine. I don't mind. " I smiled as I entered my number into her phone, handing it back to her once I was finished.

" Ah! And this is Kody! He's my friend. " I said, gesturing back at Kody. Kate and Alex exchanged a glance before looking back at me.

" Hey Kody! " Kate said, giving him a close eyed smile as she moved to the right so he could see her. He mumbled something before Aiden sat our food on the table.

" Ladies, you may sit with us if you'd like. " He smiled. Kate shook her head, grinning.

" We're good! We best get home soon anyway. I'll text ya later, Lumine! " Kate said before taking Alex's hand and dragging her off to the mall exit.

" Jesus.. " Kody said, already getting into his food. I sat down quickly and started to chow down on my friend chicken.

Later, when we got home, I pulled out my phone, which Aiden had bought me recently for safety and contact purposes. I saw a fresh text from a not so random number. I created Kate's contact and sent her a text.

Kate- Lumine, right?

Lumine- Yup, I'm here.

Kate- I was wondering if you wanted to come over to my house this weekend? Alex will be there too.

I hesitated for quite the bit, chewing on my lower lip as I contemplated my choices. Finally, I texted her back.

Lumine- Sure. Saturday sound good?

Kate- Sure! Come over anytime after 10:00 AM. I'll see ya then!

Lumine- Alright!

I sighed and rolled onto my back. I could hear the door creak open. I didn't pay much mind too it; my fan was on high and it always seemed to push it every which way.

" What are you doing? " Kody's voice seemed to drown my face in heat as I dropped my phone on my face.

" Not much.. " I got up, turning on the light and inviting him in. He sat on my bed. I joined him. A comfortable atmosphere was between us.

He sighed. I looked over, noticing the dark bags under his eyes.

" Kodyyyy! Go to sleep! You look exhausted.. " He shook his head, getting up.

" You should too. Goodnight. "

" Goodnight.. " He flicked off the light as the left, leaving my door slightly ajar.

I fell back onto my bed, sighing. I tossed and turned for what seemed like hours, my thoughts overflowed with scenarios of what could happen at Kate's house. What are her inventions? Will I be stuck in the same situation as before? I shuddered at the very thought.

I slowly got up, being careful not to make too much noise or wake anyone up. I peeked my head into Kody's room. Kody was laying on his side, a peaceful look across his face and his lips slightly parted as he breathed softly.

I carefully slid onto the mattress with him, moving so I was closer to him. With the comfort of knowing Kody was there, I felt myself start to drift off..

I groaned as I stretched, not bothering to open my eyes. Strangely, a felt something form and warm behind me. I shifted and turned around, immediately seeing a sleeping Kody. His hair was messy and falling over his eyes, his lips were still parted and his breathing was soft and rhythmic.

It felt as if my heart stopped for a second, thought in the matter of seconds it was pounding hard against my chest.

I slowly got out from under the sheets and walked out of his room, attempting to be as quiet as possible. I could hear him groan, the bed creaking beneath him as he got up.
