Chapter 18: Re-born Love
"Calum?" Addy straightened her back and squinted her eyes to see the familiar face with black and blonde hair that she longed for so much. "What are you doing here?"
"We're all here to help you. I thought the least I could do was pay you a visit and apologize. I don't really know what I meant." Calum's beautiful accent soothed Addy's ears. "I was just hurt by what you said. I loved you too much, and I knew I would get hurt. Like you said, it never lasts."
Calum went around to the other side of the bed that Addy was sitting on. He wiped his teary eyes and shook his head. "It was stupid. I'm stupid. Just please forgive me."He grabbed her hand and looked deep into her eyes as tears poured out of his. She looked at him and pulled him in, squeezing him tightly in a hug.
She sniffled, yet laughed at the same time. "Calum. How could I ever turn down someone like you?"
Addy cupped his face in her hands as she watched a smile spread across his face and a blush appear on his cheeks.
In that one moment, hearts were healed. Souls were revived. Happiness was regained.
Calum was caught off guard by Addy smashing her lips onto his. It was a gentle kiss, but a meaningful one.
Carmen began to clap. Then Michael joined in. Then Luke and Maya. The next thing they knew, the whole room was filled with laughs, hollers, applause and quiet, shy giggles from the kissing couple.
Then, it must have set off a chain reaction. Luke turned to Maya and locked lips. Michael and Carmen stared deep into each other's eyes and kissed for the first time.
"Well, I guess we've gotta do this." Ashton sighed, smashing his lips onto Alli's and smiling.
With all of this happiness, what could possibly go wrong?
