Hi everyone. Sorry this new chapter took so long. I am aiming to do upload a new chapter each month as this will allow me to create a good quality piece of writing and not stress too much about timings. Please enjoy this chapter.

I remember meeting them when I was younger as my mother was good friends with their father Shiro Fujimoto. However just before I met them for the first time my mother knelt down to my height, and told me that Rin and Yukio were actually the sons of a demon and Shiro adopted them at birth. However, they were unaware of this and I wasn't to tell them. even at a young age I understood the importance of such a secret and promised not to say a word about it or even the existence of demons. Me and my mother visited Shiro and the twins regularly and while they adults discussed what I can only assume to be top secret exorcist stuff, me, Rin and Yukio often played with each other, running around the churchyard and making up games. However, Yukio was often shy and quiet so I tried my best to include him and often asked what he liked to do for fun in which he'd often reply with reading books and in return I would say that we should read together sometime, and we did with Rin even joining us occasionally.

They've changed a lot since then however, it's no surprise to me that Yukio got into True Cross but I was surprised by Rin's presence; school had never really been his strong point. 'maybe Rin is attending the cram school' I thought. 'but that means he knows about the existence of demons. Did father Fujimoto tell him? Does Yukio know about demons as well?' I had so many questions but didn't want to ask them in fear of revealing too much.

I sat adjacent to the twins, hoping at least one of them would recognise me from our childhood to make the atmosphere in the limousine less awkward. "Hey. Is that you Violet?" Rin asked, pointing at me, a curious look on his face. "Yes, it is. Hello Rin" I gave him a warm smile. "Woah! You look awesome! Your hair is so long!" he shouted excitedly. "Oh, um thanks Rin" I blushed unsure of how else to respond. I could have sworn I swore Mephisto glare at Rin when he complemented me but I was probably just imagining things, what reason would he have to do such a thing? Meanwhile we had passed through a bridge and could now see True Cross Academy Town. It was huge. The whole place had buildings that looked as if they interlocked, with architecture styles from all over the world. I could tell that the city itself was quite dense and there would be loads of shops to explore. I was definitely going to get lost in this place.

We soon arrived outside of the academy's main campus and I was shocked to see how big this place was, even the entrance the entrance was huge. I saw a large number of students making their way to the entrance for the opening ceremony, it made me nervous seeing so many people at once. Mephisto turned his attention towards Rin "now then Rin, please change into your uniform". Rin seemed annoyed by the fact he hadn't been warned about this earlier complaining "oh come on, now you're telling me".
I blushed at Rin's movement to take off his jacket "Ah wait! Let me get out first!" I said hurrying towards the door, which Mephisto kindly opened for me, informing me that my bags would be taken to my dorm room.
I quickly hurried to the auditorium where the so-called opening ceremony would take place and found myself a seat. The whole room was filled with people and I didn't recognise a single one until Rin came and sat next to me. The first-year representative was beckoned to give a speech and myself and Rin were both surprised to see Yukio stand up. I looked towards Rin and saw he was in deep thought, also making myself think back to when were kids and Yukio was the one who always cried and got picked on.

Before we knew it the opening ceremony was finished and we headed out into the courtyard where we were told that we would be taken on a tour of the campus. However, after the car journey and the tiresome opening ceremony......I really needed the bathroom and told Rin I would catch up with him...
... I washed my hands and looked in the mirror fixing some strands of hair that had fallen out of place. I opened the bathroom door and found that there was no one to be seen "don't tell me everyone has already left for the tour!" I sighed, making my way indoors and attempted to find my way around. The whole place was beautifully decorated with gold décor covering most of the hallways and classrooms. I soon became lost however, like I knew I would be and walked faster down each hallway hoping to find a familiar person or object.
I was turned around each corner in a hurry until I spotted a small white dog with a ribbon tied around his neck "ahhh! A cute little doggie! He's so cute" I said as I picked him up and nuzzled him into my face, melting into the softness of his fur. I looked closely at him and saw he had an exorcist's pin on his ribbon-like collar 'maybe he's someone's familiar' I thought. "Are you lost cute doggie?" I asked and to my surprise, he jumped out of my arms and began running down the hallway towards the exit. "hey wait!" I yelled, running after him, worrying for his safety. I followed him all the way to a small bridge in a quiet area, I sighed in relief at the fact that we weren't near a busy road. I walked towards him and picked him up again, looking directly into his eyes "don't scare me like that again. I was worried about you" he looked at me and I swear I saw him wink and me. There was a sudden puff of pink smoke and I found myself with my hands on mephisto's torso, screaming I quickly backed away from him, a dark shade of red covering my face. "y-you tricked me into thinking you were a dog?!" I yelled at him "I did no such thing. You were the one who decided to pick me up and hug me. I only wanted to lead you towards the cram school" He sighed standing up, a slight smirk on his face. "the cram school?" I asked, a slight look of confusion on my face, classes weren't supposed to start next week. As if Mephisto read my mind he said "normal classes don't start till next week, but cram school starts today. I came to find you so I could give you the key to access the school itself" he handed me a decorated golden key and told me to use it on the nearest door, which was underneath the bridge we were on.

I placed the key in the keyhole and heard the signature click of the door unlocking. I could feel myself becoming more anxious as I opened the door, wondering what kind of people I would be sharing a class with during my time training to be an exorcist. "You know, you could always choose a different path..." Mephisto started, I turned my attention to him "you could just be a normal student at the acade-" "no" I interrupted. "I've wanted to be an exorcist since I was a child, I want to exorcise all the demons that cause harm in this world. I refuse to take any other path" I smiled Mephisto and he grinned in response, beginning to laugh hysterically "what's so funny?!" I yelled. He wiped a tear from his eye "I wasn't expecting any other answer! You've chosen a very difficult path to follow dear child. So, shall we begin?"
