The next day
Early in the morning
Tray's POV
We set at the table enjoying breakfast together. Serenity picked at her food the whole time.
Tray: If you're not hungry right now I can put it in the microwave.
Serenity: Yes please dad that would be great
After breakfast was over Airi took Sienna and Daniel to get cleaned up. Serenity helped me to clean the kitchen.
Tray: hey baby girl can we talk for a minute
Serenity: Yea sure
Tray: have a seat
Serenity: Okay What's up
Tray: I don't know how y'all ended up there but your mom got beat up pretty bad.
Serenity: is she going to be okay
Tray: no baby girl. She was to badly bruised. Airi was with her the whole time she tried saving your mommy.
Serenity: I.... I need to talk to a police officer. Please. Mommy is going to rest easy daddy.
Tray: you being safe is her peaceful resting, but I'll have one of my detective friends fly in by tomorrow so you can talk to him.
Serenity: Thanks daddy I'm just going to take some time.
Airi has the put the other two to sleep and Tray was writing music. She looked out on the porch and saw Serenity sitting in the chair.
She stood at the doorway for awhile before walking out.
Airi: Can I join you
Serenity: Yea
Airi went and took a seat next to Serenity.
Serenity: Umm I need to tell you something.
Airi: Go Ahead
Serenity: My mom started dating this dude name Thomas after a few months he got demanding and vicious. One night I was in the car with my mom she said we were going on a mini vacay the next I was in a cell without my mom.
Serenity started to shake. Airi grabbed her and tried to call her down. It wasn't working she grabbed Serenity and ran her to Tray. Tray was able to calm her down. It was something about a fathers touch. When she was calm enough Serenity was able to continue with the story.
Serenity: My mom got to see me once while I was in there. "She said don't worry baby, we'll be out soon."They were to transport us and auction us off. But they said you were in the way and to do that they faked my death.
Tray's POV
What was a dad supposed to do I was speechless. She had been through so much and she was so traumatized. Almost a year of her life she had to go through this. She didn't deserve this.
Serenity: Is it okay if I go lay down now.
Tray: Yea let's go baby girl
I laid next to Serenity as she fell asleep in our bed. When she was sleep I went to the kitchen. Airi was organizing the kitchen. I walked up behind her and starts kissing her. She turned to Face me.
Tray: She's sleep
Airi: If you want I can tell Rich that I need a few more days.
Tray: No you go. I got the kids.
Airi: You'll have a lot to keep up with, but I believe you can handle it. Also I think it's best if we find Serenity a therapist. She's gonna need it.
Tray and Airi stood in the middle of the kitchen kissing and hugging one another. They were going to make it. They just had to have one another backs.
