It was around one in the afternoon and we were all watching an action comedy and snacking on popcorn when a pressure built in my head. The girls all seemed to be feeling the same sensation, because Candice groaned and Dawn punched a pillow.
"They're back." Becca said, rolling her eyes in annoyance.
"We can feel that!" Dawn sassed, standing up and pacing.
"Why don't we have a bit of a group interrogation, since we're all here? You know, ask our questions and share the answers we get." I asked sitting up and pulling a blanket over myself.
All the girls nodded, but Candice looked nervous and jumpy.
"You okay, Candice?" Becca asked, reaching out and rubbing her shoulder.
Candice relaxed a little under Becca's touch, "It's just, he- Krayteq- is a bit hostile. I don't think he would enjoy being subjected to the third degree."
"It's cool, we'll just give him the second degree. My guy's a little wimp, though, so he can take the worst of it." Dawn says, finally sitting on the other side of Candice.
Just like before, I felt the pressure change into a more bearable feeling and I could tell that Aryzox was finally settled in my mind or body (wherever he was inside me). We all gave each other determined looks. We would get all our questions out there, hopefully get them answered, and then proceed with operation "act like they expect us to and try not piss them off".
"Hello, my star, I hope you slept well."
I bit my lip, wondering if I should respond aloud.
"Shut up!" Dawn exclaimed, "If you weren't in my head I would put you in a hospital and let them dissect you!"
Obviously, it was okay for us to talk to our aliens, so I responded, "Morning, Aryzox, I would have slept better if you weren't taking over my body."
"You should be thanking me. I could have left you drenched on the floor of the shower, bratty little star!"
His voice boomed angrily through my head, so I quickly backtracked and tried to placate him, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean it to come out like that, Ary."
He seemed to accept my apology because he let out some weird rumbling growls. I figured it was an alien language because he mumbled "star" at the end of them.
"Okay, everyone," Becca led the conversation, "We have a few questions for you aliens."
"This is the one who wanted you to go on a date."
I cringe at the distrust in Aryzox's voice, "Becca, Aryzox doesn't really like you after yesterday."
Becca shook her pin curled red hair and sighed, "I'm sorry about that, I didn't know everyone had- uh 'mates'. Please, all of you, don't hold that against me."
