I always thought that 11th Grade would be the most normal thing in life. But if I had known that my life would end up as a complete mess, I probably would have moved back to Virginia, even if my Mom and Dad had been drunk every night.

It all started in April this year when my Granny Jue called me to help her with making breakfast.

"Granny, you are definitely not 83 years old!" I laughed at her peach colored lipstick and red cheeks. "Why can't I walk around like all of you Teens out there?" She asked back.

I shook my head, still grinning and took my lunch and gave her a kiss on the head before I left for school.

"Cara?" She shouted. "Yes Granny?" I paused at the front door

"Drive carefully,I need you back in one piece later."

Even though I couldn't see her, I saw her smile. "I will, don't worry about me, love you!" I smiled, "Love You!" She returned.

When I left, I took a quick peek over to Noel's House. I know him ever since I moved to Atlanta but we have never really talked to each other since fourth grade. Because it was just a quick look over to him I wasn't sure if I was wrong.

Was Noel really glaring at me? I hesitated for a moment, but when I looked over again it confirmed that he was. Noel Davis was glaring at me. I couldn't hold back a grin.

"Good morning!" I waved and smiled, hoping he'd answer. Noel never looks at me that obvious. Maybe sometimes, but only when he spots me talking to Granny in the garden.

The moment he realized that I saw him, he turned away and got on his motorcycle. I'll never understand why he didn't buy a car. Instead he bought this death scooter.

"Good morning Cara! You look so beautiful today. I love that dress you're wearing." Sue leaned against the entrance door and held a newspaper in the right hand.

"Thanks Sue. You look really beautiful too!" I smiled and she waved off, laughing. "You're a sweetheart Cara. How is it possible that you haven't found your soulmate yet?"

I shrugged and looked at her perfectly curled brown hair that fell over her shoulders. She wore a blue striped blouse which she had tucked in her black pants. She was just flawless.

Noel rolled his eyes, put on his helmet and started the engine. Sue waved goodbye and I walked to my car. I know that Noel's stepmother just tries to be nice, but honestly, she'd never wear my yellow knee-length dress with ruffles on the sleeves.

My baby blue VW Beetle was waiting in the driveway for me. After looking through my school things, I set off for school.

While I was looking for a parking space, I spotted Amy walking to the building. She looked adorable in her baby pink pleated skirt, the white shirt she had tucked in her pants and a pair of beige Toms.

I parked my car and strolled into the building of the Henry W. Grady High. Only one more year, I thought. Then I will leave for Yale. Hopefully.

I walked down the hallway to my locker where Amy was waiting for me. She took one of her scrunchies and tied her blonde long hair together.

"Morning Cara. What took you so long? I mean, doesn't matter. I have to tell you something about Matt." She closed her locker and looked deep into my eyes, while her brown eyes widened.

"Did you know that he got a tattoo of one of his ex girlfriends names?" She asked really quietly but also excitedly.

"So? What's the deal about that?" I asked her back.

She looked at me as if I wanted to fool her.

"So?" I raised an eyebrow questioningly. She sighed, "You really don't get what the point is, ha?" I shook my head.
