She spun around in a flowy blue-green dress, looking at herself in the mirror. "What do you think?"
Links face flushed of his white-ish complexion and turned red.
"Ha ha, you're blushing!" she said as she turned toward the mirror. "So you like it?"
He nodded his head and smiled, face still red. Zelda smirks and walks over to Link. "Loss for words, huh?" He shrugged and smiled again.
She leaned in to peck him on the cheek and then spun around back to the mirror. "So you're just going to stand there and make that face the entire time?"
"Uh... Wow Zelda..." He put on a big grin and his face grew even redder.
"Okay now shoo! I'll meet you down in the dining hall in a bit, okay?"
Link smiled and nodded. His face started to go back to normal. He slowly walked out and gently closed her door. He walked down the hall and started for his own room. In about an hour Zelda walked down to the dining hall in a more casual, silken white dress.
Link had already been down waiting for his beloved to come. He was dressed in a casual white button down and normal black slacks. He wore a little less casual black beanie on his haed since he was so used to wearing a hat. The table was long and could fit many people. He sat in the middle and pulled out a chair. Link tapped the seat, asking Zelda to join him. Zelda walked over to the many chairs and sat next to Link. She smoothes out her dress, sighs, and stares at Link. "So... Are you hungry for dinner?"
"I'm starving. I had to wait for you!" He said in a sarcastic tone. "How about you?"
"Well sorry I took so long, haha. I had to try and ring for a maid to zip my dress. You obviously don't have that problem!" She said, lightly punching his arm. "I can't wait... I love dinner! Although I could always use a nap afterwards." She giggled.
"Ah, well princesses need their sleep!" He let off a chuckle. He held a small bell that was in the middle of the table and waited. She got a little giddy at the sound of the bell since it reminded her of an Ocarina, but she didn't let on. That was in the past and shouldn't be brought up at the present moment. She rubbed her hands together excitedly as the butlers walked in with two trays with lids. "FInally, I'm starving!" She started eating like a normal person around Link instead of the TV plastered statue-like princesses.
Link was happy. He started eating and wiped his face politely. "So when are you taking the position.... Queen?" She paused her eating for a moment and looked over. He didn't know that she didn't want the position, but she never said anything. She slowed her eating unlike before, not thinking being comfortable around Link would bother him. "I... Um... I don't know yet..."
He tilted his head, "Uh okay. How are you doing..? With the people and all?"
"It's um... It's good. Definitely a change from being cooped up in here for the first 19 years of my life..." The situation had clearly gotten awkward but Link didn't seem to mind, so neither did Zelda. "Definitely makes me nervous sometimes too..." She thought back a few months and shivered ever so slightly.
Link looked down at his plate and put his silverware down. "Well, you're doing well. I'm not nervous that you are our princess, and neither are the people... I know it's a lot of pressure but you'll be fine." He hinted a smile. "And besides, now you have me here. I can make some big decisions! Every Tuesday is Link day!" He said jokingly.
She giggled and had a real smile on her face unlike the ones she would put on for the massive crowds. "Thanks Link. But I don't if the people would agree with giving you food every Tuesday! Haha!" She smirked and looked at Link. Happy that the situation went from awkward back to normal, she waited anxiously for dessert.
