*Amaya's dress up top.....*Amaya's POV
"Thank you sir. Have a nice day!"
As I finished my last customer, I quickly took off my apron and rushed back to change into my normal clothes. I chirped a small 'bye' to my coworkers and rushed out into the cafe. I looked around.
There.
On a small table at the corner of the cafe sat Aiden. He seemed to be reading a book. He was so engrossed that he didn't even notice me aproaching his table.
"Boo." I said, as I crept up from behind him.
He glanced up and smiled.
"Done?"
I nodded and he got up, gathering his things as we started walking out of the cafe and towards drama class.
This had become a routine for the past week.
We would walk together to the coffee shop after school. He used to sit on this exact same table and do his homework or something while I used to work my shift. Then we'd go together to drama class.
I looked over at him. He seemed to be thinking about something. I interrupted his thoughts by clearing my throat.
"You excited for today? It's the first practice for the final scene."
He looked at me and paused, as if a little confused about what I was saying.
"Oh right! The wedding scene!" He exclaimed, remembering.
"That's gonna be......... interesting." He slowly said.
I quickly changed the topic. Yeah I was pretty nervous.
Just then my phone rang.
"Hi mom."
"Hi honey. I need you to get me something from the shops near your drama class. That's where you're going right?"
"Yeah sure. What do you want me to get?"
"I want a new photo frame to replace the one your brother shattered yesterday."
"Sure mom. I'll get it, bbye!"
When I kept the phone I was laughing at the memory of yesterday's incident. I looked to my side and saw Aiden giving me his weird look.
"Are you like..... okay, Amaya? Something funny?" By now he was also smiling.
"Yeah actually! Yesterday, Simon, my little brother, decided that all the photo frames in our house were too boring. So he decided to switch them out with his favorite cartoon characters. Now imagine my surprise when I come into the living room and find photos of SpongeBob, Bugs bunny and Spiderman in place of our family photo!"
I looked at Aiden to see he was also laughing by now.
"Mom almost fainted when she saw an angry green hulk staring back at her in the kitchen!"
I was laughing pretty hard by now, remembering mom's expression. He was wearing a huge grin on his face, listening as he quietly looked at me.
"He would get along so well with Charlie." He said, and I looked at him in confusion.
"Who's Charlie??" I asked.
"Ohh...... Charlie is my neighbor. He's six, so probably around your brother's age. He's like a baby brother to me. I go over to play with him all the time. He is so innocent and naughty at the same time. I love that little kid."
