Chapter 6: Mates

I threw myself on my bed and thought about what had happened. Why him! why'd he have to be my mate I didn't even like saying that word it made me feel weird. We hadn't really talked about it Midnight kinda broke the silence and was talking about random things and I'd edged away from him.

I decided to look up all that you know what stuff.Eventually we had to or were going to you know.I hate my life.

I went to sleep without dinner I had to much on my mind to eat about how my life had changed so fast without a warning and all the things that were going to happen. I ended up waking up and not being able to fall asleep again.

The next morning I decided to take a walk to get things out of my head.

I took a shower and was getting ready and trying to push all those thoughts to the side but I couldn't. Part of me was happy that I found him the other part of me most of me was disappointed that I had to have all of this weighing on me.

I walked out the door and started walking toward school but the back way.I went the back way so I wouldn't run into anyone but that didn't go so well.

"Hey so I heard what happened" I heard Justin say.How'd he know did he tell him?

"Whaat happened?"

"Your joining Nathan's pack what else?" good he didn't know.

"Yep that's it."

"Why?"

"I don't know because."

"That's not a very good answer."Justin seemed mad I wasn't joining his pack or something.

"Are you mad?"

"No." I gave him a seriously look.

"Ok a little."

"Why?"

"Everyone always joins Nathan's pack just in case their his mate or something. They all want to be." I was about to do something really really stupid.

"Well they won't be anymore I'm gonna join because they might." here goes.

"What do you mean?"

"I'm Nathan's mate." I hated that word and the fact that everyone liked him especially Lacey.It was silent for a second.

"Oh umm how's it feel?"

"Mixed so far but I really don't wanna talk about it."

"It's ok but imma go see ya later." Justin ran off far ahead of me. Were was he going? I smelt pine. Oh no no no not now please just be Midnight or noon or someone else in his pack anyone but Nathan please.

I looked back why oh why it was Nathan.He walked toward me and I just stood there frozen.

"Hey."

"Hi." his voice soothed me I tried so hard not to like him like I did trying to hold back but i couldn't the feeling was too strong.

"What were you doing with Justin?"

"Talking?"

"About what?"

"Stuff." I started walking.

"What stuff?"

"Just stuff random why."

"No reason." I could tell he was lying

Rain started to fall down on us. Well this was great I wasn't prepared for this! I had a small jacket on leggings and a tee shirt on. I guess I should've checked the forecast.
