(Red Leader!Tord x Future!Tom)
• Art credit to IronicOrange on DevianArt •Tord was hiding behind the bush, having a good weiw on the battlefield. He watched how his soldiers were killing one after another rebellions. Red Army was obviously winning. A satisfied smile formed on his face.
But while he was busy watching the battle, there was another person hiding in the forest. Which he soon found out when he felt a gun being pressed onto his neck. A weak laughter left his mouth while his hands slowly rose up to air.
"Permission to turn around and face my arrester?" Red Leader said still smiling. He really wanted to know who's the one who surprised him.
The other one hummed something underneath his breath like if he was thinking about something. "Granted," he said then. The voice seemed so familiar to the other one. He could say he's sure that he knew the person behind him.
He slowly turned around, hands still above his head. And then he finally found out why the voice sounded such a familiar to him. It was Thomas. It was a long time ago when he saw him in a person for the last time.
"You're so smart if you could catch me here," Tord stated looking straight into Tom's black voids, smirking. He started to stand up but was quickly stopped by the man in blue as the gun was pressed closer to his head.
"Don't move," Tom said firmly.
Tord's eyes widen, he couldn't believe how much had his ex flatmate changed. "Whoa- I'm not gonna run away, I don't even have where to go now when there's a battle going on." He laughed trying to relax the atmosphere.
The brunet would burned him with his gaze if he could. But then a grip on his gun let loose and he put it down. He let Tord stand up but still didn't let out of the guard.
They standed one opposite each other, staring at the other one. Then Tord broke the silence. "While you're here waisting your time with me, your soldiers are dying at the battlefield," he commented.
Tom shivered a bit. "Than tell your soldiers to fall back," he said still not braking the eye contact.
Tord laughed. "You're insane, right? We are winning, it's obvious that I don't wanna give up." A small grin formed on his face.
"That wasn't a question," Thomas said. He seemed really pissed off.
"Dude, calm down. I know you like your soldiers but this a war. You sent them to the fight so you can't expect them all coming back alive," Tord stated as he raised his brows.
"I said you tell them to fall back," Tom said firmly, his face frowned as he rose his gun up again.
Tord smirked. "Nothing's for free, Witness," he said blinking at the other. "If you shoot me, what could you possibly gain from it, hm?"
Tom gritted his teeth and slowly put his gun down again. Which made Tord's smirk grew even wider.
"What is your price for the end of the battle?" he said sternly, obviously unamused about the situation's outcome.
Tord smiled at him and take a step closer, looking straight into Tom's eyes. "You'll let me go free with them."
Tom widened his eyes in surprise, looking at the other man like if he's just fallen from the sky. "Are you crazy? I just arrested the leader of our enemy's army and now, I would just let him go?" he laughed, "Edd would kill me for this."
"Well, he wouldn't if he didn't know." Tord shrugged.
Tom gave him a look full of disbelief while shaking his head. "Impossible, I don't trust you even in a slightest. You sure will tell him and he'll kick me out so you'll be able to catch me and put me into your bloody cell. I'm not in mood for this." He clenched his teeth.
Tord widened his brows. "That sounds good, why didn't this plan come to my head instead?" He laughed. He looked back at Tom who was now burning a hole into him with his eyes. "C'mon Jehovah Witness, if we made a deal, I would abide it. If something, I should be the one afraid of you betraying me." He reached out his hand to the man in blue.
The other one stared at him for a few seconds. He wasn't sure if it was a good idea. The hell it was not! But then he heard one of his soldiers screaming in agony. A heavy exhale left his lips as he shook his hand with the Devil himself.
A winning smile formed on Tord's lips as he reached his hand into his pocket, searching for something. Tom was inspecting every single move the other man did and meanwhile, he managed to burn him with his gaze.
Then, Tord finally pulled out his walkie talkie and rose it up to his lips. "Red Leader speaking- every soldier fall back, we have a new plan. I'm repeating, every soldier fall back, meet me at the base." Than he put the walkie talkie back into his pocket and looked at the other one. "Now it's your part." He smirked.
Tom stared at him for a moment. Now, it was his chance to catch Tord. He was almost reaching for his gun but at the moment he realised that it was not him. He's not the type of a betrayer. He didn't want to be like Tord, it wasn't how he wanted it to be. A heavy sigh left his lips as he, avoiding Tord's gaze, said, "Go through the forest and then by the right side of the battlefield, there shouldn't be any soldiers there.
"Thanks, Thomas. I knew I could trust you." He smiled and winked at him, soon disappearing in the forest.
Tom stood there for a few more minutes, watching the place when Tord had stood before. Then he sighed and turned back, heading back to the base, hoping that Tord's not gonna fool him.
