CHAPTER 22: Revelations

JENNIE's POV

We are here at the my clothing studio doing our final fitting. I am so nervous! Gosh! Tomorrow is our first concert! I can't believe it's really happening.

However, I'm a bit worried for Jisoo. She will perform with Tae tomorrow. I hope she can handle everything. I hate my brother for doing that to her. I really hate him!

"Jen, I'll go ahead." Jisoo said.

"Okay. Take care." I replied.

Jisoo told me that she has an appointment with someone, so she left early. Lisa and Rosé also left because their parents arrived earlier. So, I was tasked to stay here at my studio with Eun Woo to finalize everything.

*door bell

"Sweetheart!" Jennie's Mom greeted.

"Hello Tita!" Jisoo replied.

"Come, have a seat. Don't worry no one's home, I'm the only one here."

"*nodded"

"So, how are you? Are you okay? Jennie told me everything. I'm sorry if Tae said those words to you. I'm really sorry."

"I don't mind them for now Tita. I'm focusing more on our concert"

".... Well, listen to me sweetheart. Tae is really in pain right now ---"

"... Is he sick?"

"No, it's more than that. He's carrying it for 9 years."

"9 years?"

"His mother's death."

" .... Ooh? I'm sorry Tita but ---"

"I know you want him to tell you about it. But, in your situation right now, there's a chance that he cannot tell you everything. And, as I told you earlier I don't want you to think of him as a bad person. So please, just let me do this. It's also very important to me ---- to lessen the guilt."

"Guilt?"

"Yes sweetheart. Because of my dream to give Jennie a complete family, I met with Tae's Mom that day and settle things with her. She already knew that I and his husband had a relationship before they got married, but she didn't know that we had a child and that ...... we never broke up. *sighs. She asked me to tell everything to her, so I told her the truth, after that .... I came to know that she died because of a car accident.

"......."

"Sadly, Tae was on the same car and witnessed how his Mom died .... Tae hates me so much, I know that. All these years, I tried my best to be his mother and to accept us. But, he never wanted me to be his Mom, his very vocal with that, but despite the hate and pain in his heart, he never kicked us out cause he wanted Jennie to have a whole family."

"*tears started to fall"

"Then, there was a time that Tae and his Dad had an argument. And it was about his mother's death. Tae mentioned that he wants to look for 'that child' ..... Every day, I heard them arguing about it. So, because of my desire to help him, I hired a private investigator .... until I came to know everything that happened to his Mom and able to know that child's name. I didn't search for her cause Tae already stopped mentioning about that child cause he's busy with BTS.

"A child?

"Yes. The child that was saved by his Mom."

"Saved?"
