Meeting at a School Dance

💔 💔 💔 💔

A frown made its way to my lips as I stood in the middle of the dance floor.

I was alone even though there were a bunch of people around me.

I felt like I was embarrassing myself by standing here like a idiot.

I pushed through the crowd and finally I felt as if I could breathe properly.

People were crowding the walls on the right side of the gym so I had to walk to the left.

I stood beside a guy, who I was familiar with.

I don't talk to him, I just knew who he was.

His name is Jahseh Onfroy.

He's labeled as the quiet and mysterious one with a short temper.

As I was standing there, he turned to me.

I turned my head and met his gaze.

"I like your dress." He mumbled, his gaze on the floor now.

I smiled, feeling my cheeks burn.

"Thank you." I replied.

"I like your suit. You look great in it." I added.

He gave me a smile, then turned away.

I turned away too.

We stood there for a bit, listening to the music that blasted throughout the gym.

Then he turned to me again.

"You wanna dance?"

I turned to him, smiling.

To be honest, I'm happy.

Not sure why though.

"Yes."

He grabbed my hand, and led me into the darkness that was behind us.

"Is this ok?" He spoke, grabbing my other hand.

I hummed in response.

"Why are we here in the dark?" I questioned, feeling a bit weird.

"I saw how you looked on the dance floor around all those people. I figured you would like this better."

With that he let go off my hands and rested them around my waist, pulling me closer to him.

My head rested on his chest and my arms were around his neck.

We swayed to the beat.

His heart beat, was at a steady pace.

It felt soothing.

Even though I couldn't see him, I pulled away from his chest and looked up at him.

This felt good.

I'm not sure why but I was feeling so attracted to him.

Maybe it was the way he held me.

Maybe it was the way he talked.

Maybe it was his smile.

I'm not sure if what I did next was dumb or not but I liked it.

I kissed him.

I'm so nervous.

School starts back up again today.
