As Greyby the rather chubby little hound licks Conor Endereye's face, a bucket of water is poured over his master's head. "Oi! What was that for you little Goblin?" Says Conor with a wide snarl spread across his face. The other boy runs off in the direction of the camp gort field (A gort is a cow like creature with brownish fur falling down from its back in long, thick strands. Due to their fast speed, adaptation to terrain and the fact that you could pile a small hut on them without the loss of momentum or energy, the gort has become the equivalent, or more, of a horse on earth - except that they eat a lot more). When Conor reaches the plot of land where the gorts are munching grass, it becomes a difficult process to search under all the smelly undersides of the animals for signs of human activity.
Stinko is one of the smaller gorts who likes to eat a bit too much of his/her own poo, hence the name Stinko. The kid that Conor is in pursuit of is renowned for his cunning schemes, so naturally, he would probably be hiding under the least expected gort, aka. The smelliest one. However, Conor is almost double his age (still a tween though) and almost double as bright, so he picks a boom berry from the farm and feeds it to Stinko. Conor immediately covers his nose and readies himself for the coming....SCHPUUUUUUUUUUUUP. As soon as the kid runs away from the smell, Conor is ready to catch him.
"CUTTERS IN!!!" Yells the camp master as the two kids reach their quarters. "Now what would you be dilly dallying about young Endereye?" Conor picks up his hatchet and salutes the superior camp man, or should I say, camp woman. "We've got a ship coming in with new tourists, and we need to get some o' that 'magical' wood. Go find your mates and give us a dozen trunks," She commands before Conor runs off to his duties unknowingly of the friendship he is about to encounter.
A.N: G'day Peeps! If you didn't realise, some chapters will switch between characters, however, I will try to keep it to the one perspective for as long as possible. Happy reading!
