Dellistown

            ‘Welcome to Dellistown. We hope you enjoy your stay while here, because you wont be going back! ‘I read the part of the sign until we passed it. See, my parents heard about this little town by a little flyer they sent out I guess, so they decided the town ‘sounded’ nice so we packed our stuff up and hit the road! When I read the sign I agreed also that the town sounded nice since they even put a billboard up, but I was questioning the ‘you wont be going back’ part. It seemed a bit strange but I ignored it and didn’t bother too tell my parents. My brother, Austin also noticed it because he looked at me strange. I shrugged and put my earbubs in. As we drove a little farther all I saw was desert. Why was I seeing desert where my new home is suppose to be? After driving a little bit farther I finally declared we were lost. I saw my dad rolling his eyes in the rear-view mirror. I sighed and slammed my head against the head rest. As I did my little sister, Alice woke up and started crying. Great I’m stuck in a car with a screaming baby, an annoying brother who keeps poking me, a mom that keeps saying everything’s alright when it clearly isn’t, and a hard headed dad who says were not lost when we so are..

            After driving for about another 5 minutes under all those circumstances we finally saw a couple houses, and then more, and more, and more. Thank God! My dad drove up too the city hall, as soon as the car came too a stop I got out and followed him into the building. When we walked in I noticed there was a good bit of people in there. But another thing I noticed was they all seemed to be watching my dad and I.

            My dad walked up too the front desk and talked to some guy about our house. I didn’t really pay attention but before I knew it my dad was signing some contract, walking back over too me and pushing me out the door. As I was getting back in the car, I saw a boy walking up the road. He was really cute! He was tall, muscular; he had brown hair, green eyes and the whitest smile. He looked at me and smiled. My mom told me to hurry up so we could get too the house and help the mover people get the stuff out of the trucks.

            I got out of the car once we got too the house. It was huge and oldish looking. “home sweet home” I muttered. I walked up the path too the door and opened it. There were spider webs everywhere! I started coughing up a storm. Austin walked up behind me running his fingers threw his light brown hair.  We looked at each other and sighed. We walked back over too the car and truck and grabbed some of our stuff. The movers already got our beds out and were taking them upstairs. As I was waiting for my dad too hand me my suitcase with some of my clothes in it, I looked over across the street and saw 2 other guys one with black surfer hair, and the other also with surfer hair but it was blonde. Blondie was smiling and waved at me as he noticed I was looking at then, but the black haired one seemed a bit worried, and he was staring at my house.

            We heard a scream come from the house and my dad went running in too make sure my mom and baby sister were both okay. As my dad went inside the Blondie came running over too me. I backed away once he started getting closer.  “Hey I’m Nick” he said as he smiled. I smiled slightly before saying anything “im um Alex” The one with dark hair came over then “hi... I’m Josh” he said. “Nice too meet you two” I looked across the street farther and saw that boy again.  Josh and Nick both smiled and Josh poked me. I jumped and looked at him. “What!?” I said a little bit louder then I meant too. “that’s our friend Cody” Nick said smiling and poking me too. “oh cool” I mumbled blushing at his name.  Nick must of noticed I blushed when he said his name so he did something that I was kind of glad he did but then kind of mad. “Cody! Come meet the new girlll!” Nick yelled. “ok!” he yelled back. I glared at Nick and which caused both Josh and him too start laughing. He walked across the street and came over too me. He smiled as he looked at me. “so you’re the new girl, eh?” he said. “uhh kindaaa” I pointed at the moving truck and Josh started laughing. “right.. I knew that.” I giggled and looked back at the house when I heard my dad yell. “Alex we caught a snake in your room!” I sighed and looked back at the three cute boys standing in front of me. “yay me..” I muttered. “so your names Alex?” Cody asked me. “guilty” they all smiled and a girl walked over. “Hi! I take it you’re the new girl everyone’s talking about!” she smiled and hugged me. “everyone? Talking about me? I just moved in! How are people already talking about me?” Josh laughed and put an arm around my shoulder “its ok! I think my sister means by everyone just a couple of the neighbors.” I sighed in relief “ok good..” Nick smiled, Cody just kept looking at me, and Josh didn’t take his arm off me. “well I’m Elizabeth, Josh’s sister.” She smiled. “I’m Alex” I smiled also.
