Letting Go

Tony was sitting on the couch, staring at the ceiling. He didn't know what to during his break time. The TV was broken due to a drunken Larry dumping oil on it while singing his lesson. He also didn't like to read, because he thought it was a waste of time. So, he just sat at the couch, not knowing what else to do. It's not too bad though. There was nobody with him, so he kinda enjoyed the silence. He did kinda sorta wished that Colin was here with him though.

Colin was Tony's closest friend that he had ever had in a lifetime. They had both met once he was introduced to his new job: teaching about how great computers are. Ever since then, they became great pals. But Tony kinda felt that they can probably be more than just friends. Maybe... But, due to his teaching job and his last experience with love, he didn't think it any further. Besides, he didn't know if he was gay anyway.

Since Tony didn't like wasting time, he got more frustrated with each minute ticking away. Soon enough he got tired of his break time being wasted on sitting and doing nothing.

"Uugh...IM WASTING TIME JUST SITTING HERE!" Tony shouted. He then stood up. " It's time to finally do something productive!" Tony thought.

"But what?"

Suddenly, he heard footsteps on the roof. "Footsteps on the roof? That was strange." Tony thought. Tony, being curious by the noise, went outside to check what's happening. He then saw Shrignold and Colin up on the roof. "What in the world are they up too?" thought Tony.

Colin then noticed him staring and said, " O-oh, uh...h-hi T-Tony! U-uh... W-what are y-you doing h-here?"

Colin always had a soft spot for Tony, ever since they became friends after meeting each other for the first time, but, as they grew closer and closer, he's starting to feel more affectionate towards his clock friend. Too bad he was too shy to confess. Still, being friends with him was enough.

Soon Shrignold popped up. Shrig, (of course) being an expert on love, had a hunch that Colin and Tony both had a feeling more than, "just friends" but he didn't think about it too much at this moment, where there was work to do. Still, he couldn't stop thinking about it sometimes.

" Hi, Tony! What's up?" the love bug shouted.

"U-uh, what are you guys doing on the roof?" Tony question.

"Oh, um...we're fixing the roof, due to "the incident".

The incident was Doi accidentally (with the help of Sketch) lit up all the fireworks inside the attic for the 4th of July, therefore creating the hole in the house.

"Oh, right, i've forgotten about that." Tony never went to the attic; he didn't think it was to any use to him. "Oh... so, um, can I at least help you guys? I've got nothing else to do." said Tony.

Colin then shouted, "Sure! Of course you can!", then, noticing that he sounded eager, he covered his mouth, slightly blushing. Shrignold shrugged. "Ah, well, I guess so, if ya want to..." He didn't really care, but he was kinda suspicious of Colin's eagerness.

"Alright, now, where's the la- oh, there it is." Tony said, heading towards the ladder. The ladder looked a little bent up and funny-looking, but Tony didn't care. He then started to climb, but something wasn't right about how the ladder was creaking moving all funny with each step. "Guys, I don't know if you had noticed this before, but the ladder is going all weird." Tony said.

Colin then said, "Huh, that's strange. We just recently got that from Shrig. Why would it-." The ladder then made a loud squeak, then it started breaking into two.

"TONY! LOOK OUT!" screamed Colin, panicking. Tony then picked up the pace. When Tony looked down, he felt his hand being yanked out and held within Colin's grasp. Surprised, he wobbled for a bit, letting the ladder break even more.

Knowing that it was probably about to break completely if he took one more step, and the roof not being too far, he got an idea.

Tony then said, " Colin, your gonna have to let go of my hand so that I can jump, understand?"

Colin then got crazy nervous, saying, "B-but what if y-you accidentally fall down? It's a two-s-story house... n-not to mention we have a f-fairly-sized attic here... M-making it even t-taller... I-I...don't think I can..." Tony then looked at Colin in the face with only fear and determination, saying " It's the only thing we got." But Colin was still worried. With the ladder slowly breaking, Tony said, " Um, I think its going to crack open in two soon... You probably should-" Colin, interrupting Tony, then said something surprising :

"I DON'T WANNA LET GO!! YOU WANNA KNOW WHY?? BECAUSE I LOVE YOU!! I HAD ALWAYS LIKED YOU EVER SINCE WE'VE FIRST MET! YOU WERE THE ONLY PERSON THAT KNEW WHAT I WAS THINKING 49.5% OF THE TIME! YOU'RE SO NICE AND SWEET AND CUTE! I JUST...DON'T WANNA LET YOU GO! I WANT TO PROTECT YOU!!!"

Tony then stood there in shock for a minute. He never knew that Colin had such feelings for him. He didn't knew he was...

So, Tony only said one thing:

"If you wanna protect me, you have to me go..."

Colin, thinking about Tony's response, let go.

Tony then jumped up, letting the ladder break behind him. He flew right on top of Colin, feeling relieved that the idea worked, but terrified of his experience. Eyes wide open, he hugged Colin and whispered, " I-I'm n-never going t-to trust l-ladders ag-gain."

Colin, wide-eyed and still holding his hand, started blushing so hard that you couldn't see his normal pale skin. "I-I, u-um..." stuttered Colin as Tony looked up to see his digital eyes. Tony, also blushing, said nothing, still clinging on to him. Tony then gave Colin a kiss on the lips and said with a small smile, " I thought I had lost you." Colin, making a small smile, looked at Tony's eyes, hugged him and said:

"Me too.

An epilogue I guess:

Shrignold, thinking about the event that just happened, only said one thing:

"I knew it."
