The guest bedroom looked like a suite in a luxury hotel. In front of the floor deep windows, stood a fluffy long stool.

The king size bed had a soft grey touch at the headboard and a few pastel colored pillows lined up on the bed. A big dresser along the wall filled the rest of the room, with a chair and a big plant in the corner of the room.

It wasn't my style at all. It was way too clean and modern and the room felt cold.

I put down my bag next to the dresser and looked out the window.

The garden looked beautiful and I'd have prefered to sleep outside than here.

"It was your room." I heard Dad's voice behind me. "We just switched the windows, to bring more light in." He added. I didn't answer him, I just sat down on the stool and looked at his reflection in the window.

"Just don't think I'll move in." I said, dryly and turned around to face him.

"I don't expect you to." He answered and buried his hands in his pockets. "Good. Because it won't ever happen." He nodded, "If you need something. We're two doors down the hall."

"Okay." I said and watched him leaving my room.

I pulled my white sleep shorts out of my bag and changed my dress into a grey t-shirt.

Before I went to bed, I sent Granny and Amy a message. I told them that I arrived safely and that Dad really changed.

I also opened Noel's messages, which had been a lot, lately. Asking if I'm fine and if I need something. I decided to answer him his questions when I'm home again. He's not my Dad after all, let alone my boyfriend, so I was under no obligation to answer him.

I plucked my phone into the charger and went to sleep.

The sun fell into the room and tickled my nose. I rubbed my eyes and sat up. The view out the window made a great start for the day.

The beautiful, colorfully laid out garden shone in its splendor. I pulled back the blanket and stood up.

I scratched my head and bend over my bag to dig out my cosmetics. A delicious smell of waffles came from downstairs. After I went to the bathroom, I made my way downstairs and entered the kitchen.

"Good morning," said Mister Royal and I smiled. "Morning." I hummed and sat next to Chloe, who was already eating a waffle with icing sugar. "Do you have any plans for today?" I asked Stephen and Linda.

"Hmm. I do." Dad said and took a sip of his coffee. "We are visiting your Mom today." He added, carefully and my piece waffle fell out of my hand. "Really?" I asked shocked and picked up my waffle again.

Stephen looked over to Linda who nodded, encouragingly. "Yes. She works today at the hotel, so there will be no problem to find her." He said and my heart jumped. "Okay." I answered happy and continued eating.

After I ate my waffle I went back upstairs to change. I had no idea what I should wear, I guess nothing special, it was just my Mom, and I didn't want to drag her down any more when Dad had to wear his stupid suit. So I pulled out a black jeans and a plain blue shirt I tucked in. My hair in a ponytail and my sneakers completed my outfit, perfectly.

I followed Dad outside to his car and we drove an good half an hour, before he stopped in front of a luxurious hotel.

"Okay, here we are." He said and opened his door. "This is where she works?" I asked, disbelievingly, "Yes. Let's go in and ask for her."

Stephen seemed nervous and rubbed his palms as we walked towards the reception.

"Good morning. Is Miss White here? I'd like to speak to her." He said to a tall woman with black hair. The woman reached for the phone and called someone, after she hung up she looked up again and smiled. "She will be here soon. Please, sit down while you're waiting." Dad nodded and we walked over to the lounge.
