It has been a few days since I left home. Dad called asking why I wasn't coming home so I said I was staying with a friend for the rest of the school year. I'm glad he is okay with that. I don't know if mom has said anything. I'm sure she doesn't even care if I'm there or not. Only to sit and torture me.

I've been staying in Reece's guest room and his parents has been very understanding and welcoming. They don't treat me like a stranger living with them.

We went back and got all of my stuff when everyone was gone from the house. Right now, I am driving back to Reece's from school. He stayed out today, he said he didn't feel the brightest.

I get onto the street that his house is on and I notice he is standing outside. What is he doing?

I get into the driveway and park my car and get out. "What are you doing?" I ask him.

"I want to show you something." He smiles cheekily.

"Okay." I say. What does he want to show me?

We walk in the house then he starts walking up the stairs so I follow him. He goes straight to my room but just stands beside the door.

"Now what are you doing?" I question giving him a pointed look.

"What I want you to see is in there." He says and smiles real big.

"In my room?" I ask. He nods his head real fast. Okay, this is weird. He has not stopped smiling since I've gotten here. What is he up to?

I grab the door handle and twist it, I look back at Reece and he gestures for me to go in. So, I push the door open to reveal the cute gesture he did for me.

I am in awe. He did all of this for me. He put flower petals on the bed in a heart and wrote 'prom?' in more flower petals.

He closed the curtains so natural light couldn't show through. He put lamps with colored light bulbs in every corner possible. They are all blue light bulbs.

I realize I am still standing here with my mouth wide open looking at everything.

"Y-you did all of this for me?" I whisper. I turn to him and he has his hand on the back of his neck scratching.

"Yeah.... Do you not like it?" He questions.

"Like it? I love it! You stayed out of school just to do this for me." I say smiling at him.

"So? Prom?" He asks.

"Yes. A million times yes!" I scream jumping into his arms. He loses his balance so he falls and I fall down on top of him. I sit up and look at him, then I burst into laughter.

My laughter dies down and I look down at him and stare into his eyes. They are so beautiful. They're like the ocean. I can get lost in them if I stare too long.

He stares back into my eyes then we both lean in and kiss each other passionately. I pull away and give him a big smile.

"Thank you for this." I say. He nods his head then the door to the room flies open, and in comes Samantha.

I get up and sit on the bed and Reece does the same. What is she doing here? I didn't know she was supposed to come over today.

"Oh no. No, no, no, no, no. Get up. We are going dress shopping!" She squeals.

"What for?" I question.

"Prom of course! Now, come on." She says walking out. I stand up and start walking to the door then I turn back to Reece.

"Help me." I mouth. He just starts laughing and shoos me out of the room.

"You have to get that one." Samantha states staring at the dress I tried on.

I turn to the mirror and also look at it. It is a light pink dress. Nothing extra to it. Just light pink. It reaches to my ankles and brings out my curves a little.

I don't really want pink. I think I could go with something better than that. "I want to keep looking." I say. Walking into the changing room.

"Come on! Choose something already." She says.

"I will, once I find the right dress." I state, walking out of the little room.

I start looking through racks again until a sale's associate walks up. "Do you need help?" She asks in a sweet voice.

"I am looking for a prom dress." I say. She looks at me up and down my body then a big grin spreads across her face.

"I think I know what will be good for you." She squeals then runs away. Like, literally.

"Okay, she seemed more excited than you are." Samantha says laughing.

"Tell me about it." I say.

"Here you go. Try this one on. I believe it will suit you. I grab the blue dress from her then walk into the room again and change.

I walk out and Samantha's mouth flies open. Is it really that bad? I turn to the mirror and my mouth also flies open.

"That is the dress for you." Samantha says. "Reece won't be able to handle not staring at you the whole time you are wearing that."

The dress is light blue and reaches to my ankles. It has beautiful diamonds on the neckline and tightens on my torso causing it to show my curves a great amount. I had no idea my curves looked that good.

"I think you are right." I say.

"Here are some heels that go good with the dress." The associate says. I grab the heels from her then I sit on the bench outside the room. I take off my shoes then I put the heels on.

I get in front of the mirror again to see how I look with the heels also. They really do go good with this dress.

"I'm getting these." I say walking into the room to change back into my clothes. When I walk out the lady grabs the dress and heels from me and goes to the register and rings them up.

"That will be $49.87." She says. I hand her the money and she puts my dress in a clothes bag so it can't get wrinkled and puts the heels in a regular bag.

"I am so tired." I say as we pull into Reece's street. She laughs then parks her car at the curb.

"Thanks for coming with me." She says.

"I had no choice." I laugh.

"You needed a dress anyway." She says. I nod my head then start making my way up to the porch.

These past few days have been wonderful. I haven't had anything to worry about.
