Skai's POV.
"What's the agenda for today?" I asked my secretary sounding so disinterested myself.
"The wine tester cancelled and ..."
"Cancelled again? This is about the third time he's canceling"
"Yes ma'am, so you have to go for the dress fitting with your bridesmaids instead."
"Okay, at what time?" I asked looking back at my monitor.
"At two."
"Alright, is that all?"
"Yes ma'am, bye."
I continued typing furiously on my computer. First off, I don't understand how I got into this mess of me marrying the man I loathe, Aaron Woods. This is not how I expected my life to turn back out. For four years I built this company. I can't let it go. Before I could realize, tears were running down my cheeks. I gently wiped my cheeks and sucked in a deep breath and sent a silent prayer to God.
After sometime of working, I checked my Hermés watch and it was a quarter to two so I decided to phone Vanessa to hangout before the dress fitting. I dialed and she picked at the third ring.
"Hey girl" I said
"Hey ... You know today is your dress fitting right?" She said
"Of course...it's my wedding." I said and she chuckled.
"Just checking, so what's up?"
"The dress fitting is in fifteen minutes so can you come over now!"
"I'm with Sam."
"Okay you can come with him."
"What can a two year old do for you at a dress fitting."
"Just bring my godson. So we meet at Macy's Cafe in five?"
"Yeah bye."
I gathered my stuff and left the building. I got into my red convertible and headed to the cafe. It was not up to two minutes when I found a table that I heard Sam's voice. I immediately liked up from my phone and smiled. He saw me and started running towards me as I stood up and hugged him tightly.
"My little man, how are you?"
"I'm fine Skai"
"Say Aunty Skai, Sam" said Vanessa from behind us.
"Let the kid be." I defended.
"Whatever, when he becomes a spoiled brat, I'm bringing him to stay with you."
"Gladly." I said shuffling his curl hair.
"So can we get to the bridal shop? It's already 2 p.m."
"Okay... We're going to Rossie's across the street."
"Let's go 'cuz the girls are there already "
"Yeah... whatever.." I said so disinterested.
I held Sam and we moved across the street to the bridal shop. He was telling me about his dog and I wondered how a two year old can know hat much. We reached the shop and my other friends Annie, Bella and Rhea were indeed there waiting.
"Hiii" I chirped in loudly for everyone to hear.
"Hey girl." They answered.
"I've not seen you for over two weeks now just to be told you have a wedding coming up." Bella said.
"Yes girl, what gives." Rhea continued, "Fill us in with the spicy details." She smirked.
"No spicy dits, I tell you."
" I don't believe you but if you say so." Rhea shrugged and got into the shop.
We all followed her inside the shop. The receptionist smiled at us and I immediately did not like her. She looked too fake for my taste."Welcome to Rossie's, ladies have a seat." She greeted in a somewhat French accent. We all sat on the sofas she pointed.
"So who's the bride?" She asked and I stood reluctantly. I was already dreading this. She showed us the potential dresses for the bride and bridesmaids. I looked at the clothes, they were pretty gorgeous to say the least but I just wasn't feeling it.
"Awwwww, this is pretty." Annie gushed looking at one of the gowns.
"Yeah, but I think this one is better." Rhea said tracing one of the gowns. I licked the first one Annie touched and went to the changing room. After many changes and 'this is the one', I was exhausted.
"I'm sure this is the one, it's beautiful, Skai.
"Whatever. I am taking whichever one."
"This one then." Vanessa said.
"Okay, I have to get home"
"But we've not picked out the bridesmaids clothes." Bella whined.
"Okay fifteen more minutes." I said and went to the sofa where Sam was seated. I emailed Trisha to send me my schedule for the next day and surprisingly, the wine tester had finally scheduled for the next day.
After the girls finished picking their bridesmaids outfit, we went to our various homes. When Vanessa was leaving, I kissed Sam."Good bye big guy."
"Bye bye Skai." He responded and I kissed his cheek again.
"Bye girl. I'll call you later." Said Vanessa.
"Bye, see ya.." I said and they left. I entered my convertible and headed home as well.
