I woke up to the sound of birds chirping and the sun peaking through my big bedroom windows.
After laying there for a while contemplating on whether I should get up to pee or not I remember today was the day I move to LA for college. The thought instantly got me excited. I pulled back my big white comfy blanket and swung my leges over the side of my bed onto my fuzzy rug, that was warm from the sunlight. As I stood up I heard my phone bing on my nightstand. I picked it up and walked into my bathroom ready to start my morning routine.

Happy with what I see in the mirror I decided to head downstairs to eat breakfast. "Goodmorning sweetheart, you ready for your big day" my Mom greeted me "Goodmorning ma, Yes I cant believe I'm finally deciding to do this" I told her. "You got this girly, you're gonna do great things"
I love my mom she's honestly my best friend I couldn't even think to ask for a better mother. For her I am truly blessed. My dads always working so it's really just always been us. I have a good relationship with him too, But my moms kinda just always been my rock. I know no matter what's going on in my life I always have her to be there for me. I'm really going to miss her.
After we finished our food we sat and talked for a while. "Okay mama, I need to start my drive. I don't wanna be stuck in traffic all day" I told her as I grabbed the last box and shoved it in my trunk. "Okay hunny drive safe and please call me when you get settled in" I agreed and gave her the tightest hug I could possibly give her. Time to start my new beginning.
* Two hours later *
Thank god that's over. That was one of the most annoying ride of my life. I thought to myself while I parked my car. After a good 10 minutes of me trying to grab half the shit in my trunk I notice a pretty light skinned girl approaching me. "Hey girl you need some help?" She asked. "Actually that would be great" I said handing her some stuff. "My name is Alex by the way" "Nova; nice to meet you."
*Fifteen minutes later*
"Thank you so much that would have taken me forever by myself." I told he as we carried the last few boxes into my room. "It's no problem, I'm glad I could help, So do you know anyone around campus or are you new all together?" She asked. " Uhh I know a few people from high school that go here but they all started way before me so I doubt I'll see them much" I said shrugging my shoulders "You'd be surprised, Okay well I gotta go but we should definitely exchange numbers I'd love to chill sometime. You seem pretty cool. And I love that have so many tattoos. You don't really see to many people around here with them. I'm feeling this whole bad girl vibe." She said with a smirk on her face "Thanks, and yeah definitely you seem pretty cool yourself." We talked for a little bit longer and exchanged numbers and she was off and I was left to clean this cluttered undecorated room.

"Annndd I'm finally done. That was a nightmare." I thought to myself as I got up from my floor a bit too fast making myself dizzy. "I should really get some food." I quickly grabbed my shoes and phone and walked out onto my adventure to find a good place to eat around here.
