Dirt hugs the inside of my shredded fingernails as I plunge the shovel into the soft ground again and again. Silver died several hours ago, but her smooth voice still lingers in my head. Has it really only been 3 hours since I last talked to her. It seems like a lifetime ago...
I think the grave is deep enough now, for silver at least, she was always so tiny...
Her body is gently placed down inside the hole where she can finally rest. After all, you don't get much sleep when you've got insomnia. My hands are trembling now and I am dangerously close to crying. Blue can obviously see this, because he takes the shovel out of my hand. I take one last glance at Silver, and try to remember her as she was, not as she is now.Sounds like a storm is coming in from the distance. That's bad.

And why.Our group at the beginning of this apocalyptic nightmare was originally 50 or so, about 20 have died in the last three months. Including Silver, that's 29 of us left.
So many friends dead...
Great! Now I'm thinking about Silver again!"EVERYBODY INSIDE, THERE'S A STORM COMING!" Blue shouts, I suppose you could say Blue and I are the leaders of this little group. We do work well as a team.
Our friends sprint to the entrance to Battlefront HQ (that's what we call our hideout) before the burial has even properly finished.
I swear these people have a serious lack of respect. Although no-one really, had much respect for Silver in general.Me and Blue manage to catch up with the others before the rain comes. I like to sometimes watch it through the windows of this ugly concrete and stone building.
It's times like these when I can remember the good old days with Blue before all of this happened.
You see, Blue and I grew up together in poor homes. Of course, our real names weren't Sky and Blue then, but after all that happened we felt the need to make a fresh start, with new names. The past was just too painful...
