Unlucky {Kamijirou - Kaminari X Jirou}

Chapter 1

~ This story takes place in real japan and the city that Bnha takes place in is made up so i've just picked a different real city in japan for it to be in~

I slammed my trunk closed and let out a frustrated sigh. Another job interview blown. I thought I may have had this one but I knew as soon as I handed the interviewer my resume it was over. They tried to act polite and assure me that I could still get the job but with my resume it was unlikely. All I had on it was my high school education and a list of jobs I'd been fired from. I heard a clap of thunder in the distance and rain started to pour down. 

"Perfect," I mumbled, looking up at the sky. I hurriedly fished my keys out my pocket to unlock my car. As I looked through my keys for the one that would unlock the car, the wet keys slipped out of my hand and slid under the car. 

"Dammit!" I exclaimed, getting down on my stomach. I reached my hand down underneath the car to grab them. My shirt was completely soaked and I was freezing. Honestly it was just another unlucky day, although it felt like I'd been drowning in bad luck recently. I managed to grab my keys and unlock the car. I sat down in the driver's seat and closed the door before letting out a long sigh. This had been the last available position that I had the qualifications for. My family didn't have the money to send me to university, I'm not exactly smart enough to get a scholarship and with the way my job hunt was going I doubt I'd be able to save up enough money for it. After high school, everyone went off to start achieving dreams and getting jobs. Yaoyorozu, Todoroki, Iida and Deku had gotten scholarships to a great university in Tokyo. Momo's working towards being a doctor, Iida's training on the track team trying to make it to the olympics, Todoroki was training to take over his asshole dad's company and Deku was working towards being a vet. Uraraka was going to college to be a baker, Koda was studying to be an animal rescue worker, Aoyama and Mina had decided to work together, he was going to be a designer with her as his model. Tsu was going to be an enviromentalist, Hagakure and Ojirou were taking out a loan to start a karate dojo. Kirishima and Sero were even in University, they weren't sure what they're careers were gonna be but at least they were in a place were a good career was possible. Bakugou had been offered a few jobs in acting and he was starting to gain popularity, acting in commercials and TV shows. Even slimy Mineta had an online escort business starting up. 

Everyone had plans and goals and what did I have? A crappy car, a crappy apartment and a package of instant ramen in the back of my cupboard. 

I jammed the key into the ignition and started up the car. I put my foot on the gas and the car lurched forward. 

"Please make it home," I mumbled under my breath. I did make it home, I like to think it was all because my insistent praying at every stop light. I got out of the car and sprinted to the apartment building doors. I pulled them open and walked into the lobby. 

"Hey Mrs. Shiota!" I waved to the secretary behind the desk.

"Welcome back, Kaminari. Isogai has been looking for you, have you talked to him yet?" She asked me. 

"No, not yet," I replied, sheepishly. 

"Well, call him when you have the chance," She told me. 

"Thanks!" I waved again before walking into the elevator. I pushed the button for the 3rd floor and stepped back as the doors slid shut. I closed my eyes, listening to the awful, 90s elevator music. Not that 90s music was bad, this was just a particularly horrible band. The elevator dinged and I stepped out quickly, desperate to be free from the elevator music. I walked quickly down the hall and unlocked the door to my apartment. I walked in and closed the door behind me. I flopped down on the couch tiredly and threw my bag down on the floor. I wiggled out of my jacket and threw it on the floor beside my bag. I stayed on the couch for a moment before getting up to take a shower. I wanted to sleep in the next morning cause I didn't really have anywhere to be. 

I got into the shower and turned on the hot water. I was about halfway through when I heard a knock at the door. 

"One second!" I yelled turning off the shower. I dried myself off as fast as I could and wrapped the towel around my waist before running to open the door. 

"Isogai, hey!" I greeted my landlord. 

"Hey Kaminari! Sorry for interrupting you but I need to collect this months rent, you're already two weeks behind on the payment," He told me. Oh right, I forgot about the rent. 

"Yeah, I'm just job hunting, you know?" I tried to wipe the nervous look off my face. 

"You've been job hunting for a week," He argued. "I'm sorry Kaminari but if you don't have a job by tomorrow evening, I'm going to have to evict you. You're out of chances," He told me. 

"I get that, but don't you think you can give me a little longer than just tomorrow?" I gave him a smile. 

"You've had long enough Kami, I'm sorry," He turned and walked away. Fuck. 

I went back to the bathroom and finished my shower, then got dressed. I grabbed my cellphone out of my bag and dialled Kiri's number. 

"Hello?" His voice answered. 

"Hey Kiri, are you doing anything tonight?" I asked. 

"Nah, why?" He replied. 

"You wanna get the gang together and go out?" I asked. 

"Sure sounds fun bro. Sero's in the other room and I know Mina's free tonight, I can call her," He told me. 

"Great, I'll call Bakugou and text you where to meet us," 

"Alright sounds good," He agreed. 

"Bye," 

"Bye," I hung up the fun and dialled Bakugou's number. 

"What the fuck do you want?" He answered. 

"Is that how you always answer the phone?" I asked. 

"No, that's why caller ID was invented," He spat. 

"Anyway, do you wanna hang out with everyone?" I asked him. 

"Sure whatever, I have nothing better to do," He replied. 

"Great, I'll text you the address," I told him.

"Yeah bye," He hung up. 

Alright good, time to go drown my sorrows in alcohol.
