Ch.5 The unexpected twist

It was not even 8am and it was already really hot. When I got changed, I went downstairs to see b/n sitting on the couch watching TV.
"You are gonna wear that?" He said.
"No I'm going to wear a monkey suite yes I'm going to wear this!" I said opening the front door "I'm going to my friends house, I'll be back in a couple hours"
I started walking to the Curtis house, and was sweating from the blaring sun. When I finally reached my destination I opened the door.
"It's as hot as balls out there" I said sitting next to Pony on the couch "Sorry I forgot there's children here" I said looking at pony.
"I'm fourteen-"
"Still counts as a child"
He then crossed his arms and looked at the TV. I saw Johnny sitting alone at the table so I got up and sat next to him. I saw that he was sad so I hugged him and said-
"What's wrong Johnny Cake?"
"Parents are Beatin' on me again"
I stopped hugging him and looked at his face seeing a bruised eye.
"Oh Johnny! You know you always have a place to stay at my house or here" I said with a hurt smile on my face. He nodded and fiddled with his fingers.
"Where's Dairy?" I said standing between the living room and kitchen.
"He's in his room with Soda" Pony said walking over to Johnny.
Just then I heard a knock on the door and made contact with Steve. Both me and Steve ran to the door to see who can open it first. I won and blew my tongue at him. When I opened the door and I saw a skinny looking blonde.
"Is Sodapop here?" She said eyeing me.
"Let me check" I said closing the door.
I already knew he was here just wanted to check if he knew her. I walked to Darry's room and saw him and Soda talking.
"Sorry to ruin anything but there's some blonde at the door asking for loverbo- Soda" I said leaning on the door frame. They both had panicked expressions on their faces. Soda quickly got up and went towards the front door. I sat next to Darry.
(Sodapops POV)
I was talking to Darry in his room about what's going to happen if Sandy ever comes back until y/n came in.
"Sorry to ruin anything but there's some blonde at the door asking for loverbo- Soda" she said.
Crap, crap, crap...
I got up and jogged to the front door. Heart pounding, I opened the door and there she was... Sandy.
"What are you doing here" I said with a stern look on my face.
"Child support"
"Well I'd like a blood test"
"So you think I'm lying about the baby being yours?!"
Just then Darry moved me out of the way and started talking to Sandy so I went to my room. I saw y/n reading one of Pony's books.
"What book are you reading?"
She jumped with fear but then said "um f/b"
"Can you read to me?"
She started reading the book and sat on the edge of the bed, so I sat next to her looking at her lips moving.
(Y/n POV)
It's been about 20 minutes of me reading to Sodapop until Darry came in-
"She's agreed to do a blood test" Darry said sitting next to me. I'm now squished in between Soda and Darry on a hot day, I then can't bare it and sit up.
"I'll let you two talk" I said walking to the kitchen to get a glass of water. Then the front door slammed open. Dally.
"Hey did you guys see that broad, Sandy?" Dally said sitting on the couch. Everyone didn't answer and I just gave him the death glare until he looked at me.
"What doll?" He said smirking.
I gestured him to come over, when he did I grabbed the collar of his shirt.
"Look Texas boy, don't mention Sandy again because I don't think anyone is in the mood to deal with her." I said, then released his collar. I started walking to the front door.
"Aw are you jealous doll? Cause if you are don't worry because you are way prettier than her" Dallas said winking at me.
I asked Johnny if he wanted to come with me to my house before leaving but he said he'd stay at the Curtis house tonight. So I walked to my house safely, and when I got to my room i turned on the fan and laid down.

It's been a couple of weeks and Soda went to have a blood test done and it's been awhile but no results. Until I heard the phone ring but by the time I got downstairs b/n got it before me. He then turned around and gave the phone to me.
"Hello?"
"Y/n we got the results, can you come over just in case Soda doesn't handle it well"
"Yes, see you soon" I said hanging up.
I waved at my brother and ran out the door. I soon got to the Curtis house and saw the gang...and Sandy. I sat down next to Soda who had the folder in his hands.
After awhile of Soda preparing himself he opened it and the results shocked everyone.
"I am not related to your child, Sandy" he said handing the papers to her.
I accidentally gave out a little smirk, and apparently Sandy saw because she tackled me. She barely got a punch in but I got a couple punches in before Darry pulled her off and Soda pulled me away.
"I hope you have fun with that slut!" Sandy said before Darry told her to leave.
I held my head in my hands and softly laughed. Twobit was making jokes about the whole thing but I didn't pay attention.
"Are you hurt? Do you need anything? Are-"  Darry said kneeling beside me.
"Darry I'm fine" I said looking at him. "I should go before my brother tells on me" I said getting up. Dally and Soda came to the door before I could. I guess they had the same idea because-
"I'll go with you" they said in unison.
I nodded and we all went outside and started walking. It was almost dark and it got kinda quite so I spoke-
"Crazy day huh?" They nodded.
"You can really put up a fight huh doll" Dally said giving me a grin.
"Well kinda" I said punching him slightly in the shoulder.
Just then Dally picked me and and started swinging me around.
"Haha sttoopp!" I said laughing. He put me down. I looked at Soda and he looked kinda jealous.
"Well I guess your right, if you were a good fighter you would have put up a fight" Dally said.
"I didn't put up a fight because your my friend, Texas boy"
"You never know when someone will turn their backs on you" he said with a frown.
Good ol' Dallas ruining a happy moment but I knew what he was talking about, about the whole Sandy cheating.
We got to my house and when we got to the porch, Dally gave me a high five and waited for Soda. I saw that Soda had his head down so lifted up his chin and kiss him lightly and went into my house. I sighed and went to sit on the couch with b/n.
"Where have you been?"
"I went to Sodas house"
"Stay out of trouble,okay? I can't lose you"
"Okay" I said before slowly passing out into a deep sleep.
Well a deep sleep until I heard breaking glass...
