Nobody really knows how the apocalypse started, it appeared out of the blue. These zombies don't want to eat you, they want to infect you, and they aren't the zombies we always imagined they would be. We call them Dizos, they act like normal people, and look normal too. That's the thing nowadays, you can't trust anybody because they could be a Dizo, and that's so dangerous if you think about it. Your mom could be a Dizo and you wouldn't even notice, and then you'd be one when she would strike, just like that, Bam, you're a Dizo. They transform when they strike, into these creepy dwarf things with huge sharp teeth, a wicked dinosaur tail, and a small pointy face. Ugly indeed. The government's still active, major technology nowadays, and that's what's protecting them. People have started to get a *click* in their heads, something to do with "inner substance" , something I'd like to get soon, but the government says it happens when it needs to. The people who have found their inner substance have developed major security systems, all with their heads. Seems pretty cool, right? That's why I'd like to have it. I sigh and look out the loft window, no cars any more on 322, go figure. I walk downstairs and go into my mom's room. My sisters are there, drawing on the floor. We all love to draw, it's a great hobby of ours. My parents are in bed, watching TV. We still worry a lot, but when the zombie thing broke out, those inner substance (I'm going to start calling it IS) people got working and sent security systems to every house and building in the U.S. We have a huge invisible dome surrounding us, we can see outside it but no one can see inside it unless they aren't infected, and they'll just wander around if infected and eventually get teleported out by the system, trapdoors in every room that leads to a safe room underground, and we even have our own greenhouse now. Thank God for those people, otherwise, we could be dead. My cousins live across the road, they're safe, and so our all my other relatives, who live really close. I get up on the bed and squeeze between my mom and dad. "T, please just leave us alone for a bit, girls you too," My Dad says and we grumble and head upstairs. I have two sisters, Madison and Lily, Madison (12), Lily (9). I'm 14, the oldest. We all head into my room, they're afraid to be in their room because they can see the road, there room is on the 2nd floor but faces 322, and is in the front of the house. I don't blame them, I wouldn't like to stay there either. "I wonder what they are talking about," Madison says laying down on the bed and pulling back my curtain and looking out my window, which faces the backyard and woods. We never go into the woods anymore, it's not safe. "Tyler! Grandma's walking around outside, like she's looking for something," Madison says nervously. Lily starts getting worried and we both look out the window. There's my grandma, walking around scanning her surroundings. "Get Mom, and Dad. Now. She could see our house if she wasn't infected," I say with tears slowly running down my face. Madison and Lily start crying, and Lily goes down to get our parents. They rush up, and my grandma looks up, and transforms into one of those nasty creatures. "Oh my God," my Mom says and the creature starts scaling our house, at a fast pace and heading to my window. I instruct my family to go to the trapdoor, and we go into my closet, shutting the door. I tap the wall a decent sized screen comes up, and I click the trap door option . We back up as a piece of the floor slides open and we here pounding, she's going to break the window. We hurry down beneath and the floor slides back into place. The corridor lights turn on, and we follow it till we reach the safe room, and my dad types in the password (konava) and the door to the room opens, we pile in and the door shuts. The other passage doors are shut too, they become part of the wall, we're safe, for now. We all cry, because we don't really now what just happened. My mom types in commands on the wall screen and the room expands, the concrete flooring is changed to carpet, and 3 beds popped up from the ground. Weird how things work all of a sudden. We all hug and cry, then we fall asleep in the beds, not knowing what to think.
