"Y/n L/n you are not leaving this house!" Y/n's door slams open and their mom passes through.
"If you go you will be in so much trouble." Y/n turns to their mother anger prominent on their face.
"I'm going mom, you cant stop me!." They zip their bookbag shut, throwing it over their shoulders. By this point their mom was furious. The yelling coming from her mouth wouldn't cease. Although the circumstances were dire Y/n paid no mind. They beelined straight to the front door, and slipped on their shoes.
Y/n sighed, "Its for the greater good mom. I mean aren't you a little curious?". With this their mom fallen silent. Seconds passed before their mom ran a shaky hand through her hair and walked towards Y/n. Without hesitation Y/n's mom hugged them.
"I just want you too be safe Y/n." Y/n looked towards the floor, guilt spreading along their features.
"Its going to be fine mom I promise." Y/n backed out of her embrace and opened the door. Tears fell from her mothers eyes but a proud smile decorated her features.
"Your growing up Y/n. Go find some aliens." Their mother said. Without missing a beat Y/n walked out the door.
