"ARIES!" The voice of my mother called out to me as she was yanked away from my squirming form. The guards who held onto her were strong and therefore it was easy to restrain her.

I was merely a eight year old at the time and I was probably just as terrified - if not more than - my mother was. I felt the tears slide down my cheeks and fall onto the ground as the men threw me into the back of a dark colored van. I got locked in before the van doors slammed shut.

I could barely hear anything from outside of the vehicle. My body began to get wracked by sobs as I shivered in the cold air. My life had drastically changed that day and will never be the same ever again.

As the van drove down the streets, we stopped at various places along the way and picked up some other children - all within the age range of six to nine. The all cried and all had to be snatched away forcibly from each of their families.

Just like I was.

I sat in silence for the rest of the ride and listened to all the others as they screamed, cried, and remained silent as well. I knew that I was different than most people were, yet I had no idea of the future I would have to endure.

Finally after what seemed like many hours, the van pulled to a final stop and we were all hustled out of the back and into a large, cavernous room. All of us chained to each other as we were led into what would become our new home. We waited again for someone to come or tell us what was happening, but no one came for the longest time.

Finally an electronic voice came over a speaker and we all had no idea what it would truly mean.

"Welcome to The Facility," it said loudly while pausing. We all looked at each other and then at the guards. But, before anyone could ask, the voice spoke once more. "This will be your new home."

And the next words that the voice would say made most of us burst into tears once again. It also changed everything for us.

"You will remain here until we say you can leave, which will most likely never happen. So you better get prepared to live here...

For the rest of your lives."
