"If you want to be happy, do not dwell in the past, do not worry about the future, focus on living fully in the present"-Roy T. Benett
"Donatella.."
I closed the book that I've been reading for a while now. Natutuwa ako sa mga nababasa ko mula rito because most of it are about life changing and motivating qoutations.
I looked at my mom. I am sitting on a steel bench in the airport waiting for my flight. Gusto kong tanggihan ang pagpapasama ng ganito kay dad but he wouldn't let me. It's for our safety.
I smiled at my mom, reassuring her that I would be fine.
"Mom, I'm okay. Please don't think too much." I said to calm her.
I took off my shades dahil medyo naluluha nanaman ako. But I won't let her see me crying. I'm just being so emotional bacause I could also see her aching for me.
She shook her head and then sat beside me. Put her designer bag on her lap before looking at me teary eyed.
"Hija, you could just have stay in El Nido. May rest house tayo roon. In Zambales, sa ancestral house. Or in Surigao. Kahit saan basta dito muna sa Pilipinas. I could always book you a hotel to stay anywhere here in the Philippines for now."
I took a deep sighed. This is so hard for me too but I need this. I need this to heal.
"Mom, ayoko. My decision's final. And this is it. I'm going to New York." I said with conviction to let her see na hindi ko na babaliin itong desisyon ko.
A tear escaped my mom's eye. This is just so hard!
"Mom I promised to take good care of myself. Okay?"
I hugged her tight and kissed the side of her head. "I'm gonna be okay mom. I'm gonna be more careful now."
I took a deep sighed as I try to make myself comfortable. This is my first time sitting on a class A seat of a plane. All my life, when we're travelling, we're always on a VIP seats. But now...
"Excuse me miss."
I politely smiled at her.
Bahagya niyang binaba ang kanyang salamin at tinitigan akong mabuti.
"Are you the daughter of Mr. Leonard Farrah? One of the top businessman in the Philippines?" Kunot na kunot ang noong tanong niya.
I'm not shocked to hear someone ask me this. I cannot deny the fact that I am carrying a name that screams vogue. And I am a well known daughter of the most sought-after businessman in the business world.
I looked at the woman beside her that seems to be sleeping. I forced a smile.
"Yes po. But please let's keep it a secret po muna." I worriedly said.
