"Welcome, to Eienno Uta!" was the greeting two adults were given by the neat, clean sign that stood at the edge of a white picket fence that contained an entire city in its perimeters. They strolled casually down the paved road that cut down the center of the town. They passed house after house, each painted in a different pastel color with matching flowers growing in their gardens. Ah yes, it truely was a perfect little town. As perfect as it could be however; in this twisted world, a utopia will never exist. Eienno Uta is no exception. It's flaws: the two young adults that made their way to the center of the town; they were also, the town's founders.

The shorter one- a women with pale skin, short black hair and fuchsia eyes- let out a happy sigh as she survied the small paradise around her. "Sixteen years. It took sixteen long years, but, it was all worth it. Blood, sweat, and tears and we did it. All on our own. Right, Leon?"

She looked up at her male companion, clutching his arm like a child. He shook some dirty blond hair out of his emerald eyes. "Yup. All by ourselves. A true work of art." Leon let the soft breeze sweep his hair as he looked up to the tall, white brick building that rose above the houses at the far edge of the community. "A true masterpiece, indeed. Complete with..." He paused. "Lola? Remind me again how many live here."

"Sixty-three." The noirette responded, still wrapping her hands around his arm as she closed her eyes. "Including you and me."

"Sixty-three..." He echoed. "So many, in such a short amount of time..." his voice trailed off as the soon-to-be-setting sun cast a light orange glow on the town.

And, to be honest, it really was a magnificent accomplishment. To have sixty-three people living in a community in such a short amount of time was a feat of amazement.

You may wonder how, if Eienno Uta had been a sixteen year project, why was there only sixty-three people living there? Well, Eienno Uta had only opened up for the first time less than a year ago.

It started with a dream. An idea for a town. A town of music. A town in which hope is portrayed in the essence of song. A perfect society, built upon a foundation of ballads and arias. Lyrics and melodies used like building blocks to create a graceful utopia.

Not only this, but Eienno Uta would only open it's gates to specific people, who had met the requirements and high standards of Leon and Lola. How so? Well, to explain that, we are going to have to go back to the beginning of the town, before it's first inhabitants, back to each and every individual that came to live here, and re-explore their past.

Well, perhaps not their entire past, but at least a portion of it. And yes, when I say "each and every individual" I do mean all sixty-three of us.

Oh, where are my manners? Hello, my name is Rune. Anri, Rune. You like that picture up there? I had Kagamine-kun take it for me, 'cause I'm a bit of a ditz with technology.

Anyway now that you know what I look like, I'll get down to business. I'm here to help you try to understand this confusing story of ours. You see, I'm here to be a tour guide of sorts. I'll guide you through the stories behind Eienno Uta and all of us that live here.

While you read, I'll be off over here in the margins, occasionally stopping you to better explain a situation. These stories are straight from the memories of my friends and I.

Hmm? Where's my story? That'll come in its own time. We'll start with stories from the first citizen, making our way down the list until we reach the sixty-third person to live here. If memory serves me correct, then I am number fifty-seven of that list, so we have a long way to go. We'll skip over Leon and Lola seeing as we have the basic facts about them already.

In the meantime, our story will begin with number three, a young woman by the name of Miriam.
