It's my 8th birthday. My father gave me this diary to write all my thoughts down. My father said that this diary will be very special. I wonder why though? My family is very important to me. I love them the most! In my family, I have my Dad and his name is Adnan. He is an awesome builder, and is very busy and comes home at around 8 PM. My Mum's name is Maya. She works for a shop and sells food like bread she comes home at 5 PM. My Sister is Sara. She goes to school like me and is 13 years old. My name is Sami. My sister and I go to Almamoon School. My best friend is Joram who is very funny and kind. We love to ride our bikes together. I walk with my sister, or I bike to school because we live in Al-Qudsy street, Aleppo, Syria which is very close to Almamoon school. Today's good news is that we had an awesome game of soccer: it was 5 to 1. We won! The bad news is that we have tons of homework today, so I should get started now!
